Hats off to Chris Variava who were able to confirm today a stock car for me.
Hoping to collect a white spider sometime in the next few weeks! Thanks to Paul and Aaron who have been great throughout.
Final formalities to be sorted out tomorrow but so far they have been fantastic. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
Congratulations, glad it worked out for you. Did you manage to get an anniversary car? If not, what spec and price? Hoping to collect a white spider sometime in the next few weeks! Thanks to Paul and Aaron who have been great throughout.

There is talk of a facelift and change of engine to the 2.0 more powerful unit.
That sounds interesting. Let's see if any lease deals on those pop up in two years time!JasonKal said:
Hi Russ,
I just had a quick chat to Paul and number 29 is due here ANY DAY NOW. The cars turn up on an individual transporter so once it is here we will get a quick picture and send it over
Not long now!
Just had a message from Paul Cambell at T H White, my 50th Anniversary 4C has arrived and is currently being prepped in the workshop......roll on next Saturday! These Aniversary Spiders took a long time to sell didn't they?
One of my clients has number 3 and he picked that up a good 9-12 months ago.
I did get a touch of déjà vu when I got a marketing email last month about the 'limited edition' Spiders... I looked back and funnily enough had the same offer in February 2016!One of my clients has number 3 and he picked that up a good 9-12 months ago.

I've bagged one of the 50th anniversary cars via CVL and am being told by the supplying dealer that they will have to be registered by end of June so hopeful of getting mine around that time.
Sorry to hear you other peeps getting messed around and possibly losing out on ghost like deals.
I signed up within minutes of getting the email through secondhand via a mate of mine, seemed too good to be true so just went for it.
Still wondering if these cars have been sitting around since the launch last year, can anyone confirm this?
The Alfa badges on the car & the steering wheel were changed part way through last year, if anyone knows that date that might give a clue on when they were built although it wouldn't take much to switch the badges, maybe a bit more for the one on the steering wheel Sorry to hear you other peeps getting messed around and possibly losing out on ghost like deals.

On the old badge for the boot the centre circle background is from memory split between blue & white , on the new one its all silver
On my old one the steering wheel centre is the same as the colourful boot badge, on my new one its black / silver. The new one had leather / alcantara seats & leather dash so that may have been the reason for the different steering wheel centre .
Which advertised deal though? They changed the price on the website from £249 to £349. If they can't actually order the cars until later this year surely they can't have 2 different prices for a car they haven't ordered yet!

Thames Alfa still seem hopeful of the advertised coupe deal. Had a reply from my query asking whether I should be worried of it not happening!
I will remain hopeful for now on my January factory order.

Or indeed that maybe is a business move for more profit?arow said:

My current status with Thames on an Alfa 4C coupe:
£1k deposit paid
Spec finalised
Finance details taken yesterday

My understanding is that Thames were fully aware of the Unity debacle back in March and, based upon that, double and triple checked what could be provided the whole way up the supply chain. My current status with Thames on an Alfa 4C coupe:
£1k deposit paid

Assuming Alfa did indeed confirm that they could go ahead with the initial deal with £249 monthlies, then surely they should be willing to take the hit for anyone who has paid their deposit.
I'm in a similar position to MechMovement except that finance has been confirmed as accepted and an agreement provided.

The £249 a month. I'm still not entirely confident but after asking, and being told everything is on track and that I don't need to worry... there isn't much else to do for now I guess.arow said:
