All weather, Natural, Dynamic, Race - all drive the bloody same in normal driving on normal roads. You depress the throttle and flick the gears at the same time and the car behaves in the same way.

What on earth are you doing?

Hell, the car drives the bloody same in all 4 modes whether doing 0-30mph on the school run or 70-80 leptons on the motorway.

I sometimes wonder if I drive a different car to everybody else when they talk about it on the various forums.
I think you must! biggrin Have you not noticed the absence of boost in the first few gears in All Weather mode? Or the reduced traction control in Dynamic? As for Race mode, I tried it on a very wet circuit once for a laugh - I don't recommend it unless you're a driving god biggrin
Well no. Which fking idiot depresses the throttle hard enough in 1st,2nd or 3rd on the Queen's highway if in All Weather mode because the weather is stty??? If its pissing it down and you are on a normal 30mph limit road you depress the throttle lightly!! That doesn't matter if you are in any mode!! The same holds true on the motorway at 70-80leptons. You dont drive like you need to mash the throttle, you only need to increase speed by 5leptons usually, so you just nudge the cruise up 3 notches or press the throttle the slightly harder for about 2-3 seconds and job done.

The only time I've activated the traction control at all was in the snow last week when in deepest darkest Oxfordshire. Im fortunate enough to basically have a special stage tarmac road as my de facto driveway in deepest darkest wettest muddiest Devon and Ive never noticed any difference in the traction control whether I've nailed it down there in natural, dynamic or race.

But then Im from the TVR and Lancia worlds where traction control means using your right foot correctly.

Have you contacted them at all? I contacted them before Christmas. They returned my call to let me know it'd be in build this month.

Anyone seeing any good deals on 4C's at the moment? Looking to spend max 300 a month and flexible on mileage. If anyone has a lease they want to shift let me know! Ideally looking for a red coupe but again open!

I have a white spider, nice spec (ie has a few extras). Unfortunately it will be more like £390/month though, but no upfront payment at least. About 18m left on the lease.

Mine is in the same batch smile

What are you doing about number plates? Having them fit the standard one or looking for something smaller?

Exciting! I’m not sure about that, did you ask them about it? Would you just ask them to supply without a front plate and sort it out yourself afterwards?

I had the small one on the front as supplied by Chris Vivara (?) - I'd had the car 3 weeks and got followed by police car for about 45 minutes in hideous pre-Xmas traffic. Ended up with a £100 ticket.

Get the small plate. That’s what I did with mine and the only issue I had was whilst I was parked up at a football match. Nipped back to the car to get something and some officers who were walking past decided to have a polite chap about the plate.

I never bothered changing it, was never pulled up over it and it looks considerably nicer than the full size plate.

What are the rough wait-times on these at the moment, from order to delivery?

There a guy on here called Yipper. He normally has the answer to this sort of thing.

But he has a tendency to make things up so I don't think it would be a good idea for you to recommend him to anyone smile

Going off all of our orders, Alfa themselves know the wait time on these so I doubt anyone else would!

If it gives you any indication (and I don't think it does) I ordered in June for delivery December, which was put back to May 2018, to then get a new build date of early January, for it then to be available for collection next week (3-4 weeks early!)

Re front plates the std one is hideous and is fixed via a bracket that’s screwed into the bumper so I would avoid that , a smaller 350 x 75 plate looks about right stuck to the bumper with tape and I run that when in Europe . In the uk I have no front plate generally , including the last car I’ve run the 4c’s for 4 years ( 26000 miles ) and only one stop , the chap loved the car and agreed it didn’t lend itself to a plate but I really ought to fit one “ somehow “ still haven’t

If you are being quoted 9 months, presume you are getting the revised 2019 car?

Talk of many of the foibles of the current car being sorted and a new engine?

Could be epic if they get this right.
