It fits in 2m with both mirrors folded. It is an incredibly tight nervous pant wetting squeeze though. I’ve learnt this as the coaching house I stay at in Midsummer Murders (Dorchester Upon Thames to you) has an entrance of 2m!

I park out front now if poss!!

Get the sports exhaust or the Jamie Alfa one, its crass and will p1ss your neighbours off no end, but it's a bonkers car full stop so might as well have the soundtrack to go with it!

That’s interesting as according to AR this morning you the folded mirrors width is 1864mm meaning a still tight but not pant inducing explosion....

Diferent widths in coupe and spider perhaps?

You are welcome to come and measure my coupe if you wish, I live not too far from Redditch. I don't fancy trying to squeeze it in your garage though!

I’ll take you up on that if that’s okay. Roughly where are you?

Had a quote from Beechdale Derby. £2300 upfront and then £468 month but inclusive of Rosso Red paint (£750). This is for a Spider.

Thoughts?

Just the paint ? Or any other options ? Would be helpful to know term and mileage.

If that was for a 24m lease, looks to be about £13k all-in. Not the cheapest but I suspect the amazing deals aren’t available anymore.

Also - in case anyone had dealt with Variava, they’ve been bought by another group. Shame as I really liked dealing with them. Hope their approach remains the same under new ownership.

Just in case your weren’t aware Rosso red is the normal red , competizone red is the nicer metallic one

Yep, I always thought Rosso Red was a standard no cost colour but obviously not. Only black is a free colour

I like them in black. But never seen one in the flesh.

Naturally I’m biased but I think the grey is stunning.

The Beechdale one is by far the best PCH deal available right now. Just have a search through CHL and you'll see it is £1-3k cheaper over 2 years than anything else out there at this time. Think they will also quote for 3+23, which lowers quite a bit the first payment.

Worth getting the race exhaust, as it's fairly cheap and makes it sound better. Otherwise, you'll end up with a weedy exhaust note that is at odds with the standout looks.

It's cheaper to get the AlfaWorks exhaust than the race exhaust. It also means you can sell it after 2 years to recover some of the cost.

And you know this how? Do you own one with either a standard or race?

The entry-level Alfaworks exhaust system is only ~£15 cheaper, and by the time you've faffed about with fitting costs, travel costs, and resale costs, there is very little difference in total price between the stock race exhaust and an aftermarket one.

Well you'll get a good £300 back on resale so.... not really.

I'm going there for a few other bits too so it makes sense for me. Plus I like the idea that I can upgrade to the Helmholtz if needs be.

Re exhausts

Std doesent sound weedy and I ran that on the first car for many miles but certainly the car if you have the funds justifies a better sound. Of race and Alfaworks I prefer the Alfaworks and it doesent drone in the car at motorway speeds as the Alfa race one does

Except this is a lease, so he could either pay for the optional sports exhaust across the term or go aftermarket and sell it on once the lease is up..

For what it’s worth the droning on the factory sports exhaust wasn’t that annoying to me on long runs. Did a trip from Leeds to London and back without any annoyance.
