Are they actually built by Maserati? There are a number of Maserati tools being used in that video

Yes, built by Maserati. They are quick, you just have to know how to drive one, in the way an early 911 is quick if you know how.

I think in the right hands and that's not me it's a great track car, I did the full GP at silly stone in my last one and it wasn't that quick , I then asked Mike Wilds to take me round in mine , Reslised I can't drive and it's a flipping quick car. It has the record for the fastest sub 250 BHP car on the Nurburgring so it's no slouch and that's without a remap . I just love its rawness and yet it's also gorgeous . it's the girl you always dreamt of dating but I guess it's down to who you dream of dating .
Was this the PGT day last December ??

It's not sacrifices , quite the opposite and many think it's better to drive BUT as with all cars it's personal choice and certainly not worth an endless debate
In hindsight, I think I agree. It could be said the Cayman is a more "polished" drive and the 4C is more raw? I think it's been shown that a Cayman S is faster round a track, but then the 4c isn't really a track car? Clearly a V6 Exige would be far quicker than both but again, not the point.

It's a stunning looking car which is fun to drive and quick to boot. As a Sunday toy it would be perfect. (especially a Yellow Spider!)

I still want one, LOL smile

How strange maybe someone quoted it but the system got messed up but then you wouldn't have been able to edit it and remove it like you have.

Anyone heard anything from Thames?

I'm sure they said we would hear something in September?

I spoke to Craig at Thames in Slough a couple of weeks ago and he said the orders were going to be submitted in October.

Mmm - Rat Smelling mode on

Im guessing still hoping to get enough people on board to get discount, I struggle to see what other reason a dealer has for not ordering

There's some decent deals on other cars at the moment too, but I'm reluctant to let this one go until it's completely dead in the water! It is looking less and less likely all the time.

Yes I’m getting a bit more apprehensive now that I have seen (and missed) a few other cars I’d have gone for

Would like to know where I stand contractually with the deal... I have all the paperwork promising it at that price etc along with a long email trail of assurances it will materialise.

I guess its what's hidden in the small print that counts. Lets hope they do the decent thing & keep their word. Im guessing they possibly see this thread so will know of the uncertainty some are feeling & if they are aware of it really ought to offer some reassurance. If it drags on Alfa ought to lean on them , just for the good of the brand

Sadly I still don’t think it will happen. Give the complex nature of these cars and that they are almost built to order now it makes no sense for Alfa to build and lease out so many at a loss.

This is the only relevant information in the documentation:

You will compensate us for any loss or expense we suffer if you breach this agreement including late payment administration charges (see condition 15).
If you wish to terminate this agreement early or due to a breach we have to terminate this agreement early, compensation will be payable (see conditions 17 and 18).

CANCELLATION RIGHTS
This agreement is not cancellable

Condition 17 and 18 above refers to compensation if we want to terminate, or if we breach, the agreement. My assumption is that if Alfa tried to provide me with the car and I didn't want it, I'd lose my £1,000 deposit. If, for whatever reason, they are unable to provide me with a car, I'll be pushing for similar in the form of compensation.

Your legal contract I'm sure will be with the dealer, not with Alfa UK so any compensation / rows/ law suits will be with the dealer, they are the selling agent , if the dealer has advertised a deal that cant or wont happen its the dealers problem to resolve. There's absolutely no point going after Alfa.
