Hello All,

Firstly I will reiterate my usual explanation for not having put this in the Events area, but that's because this is Italian marque specific and in my experience many forum users don't look at the event boards but still might like to come. I hope those of you who aren't in my region will overlook this and forgive me!

We are organising a repeat of a run and meet we did several times last year, which was great fun, and started to build a good attendance.

The meet will be at the Departure Lounge Cafe in Alton, in the Northern part of Hampshire at 10:00 on Saturday 1st April.

We would love to see a good variety of Italian Marques of all ages and types, so please come along to meet like minded people and admire the cars.

For my part I will be driving up from south Hants, leaving Hedge End (meet at Sainsburys car park by the petrol station) at 08:30 and then driving by the back roads to Alton to arrive before 10:00.

The cafe has a good solid field just next to the car park and in front of the cafe building, so we dont have to be in the regular car park. It also does a very good cooked breakfast. We have a good chat and look at the cars, and normally finish around lunch time.

Others come from Surrey, berks, wilts etc as well as from the south coast, so try to arrange your own runs to the cafe if you are not coming from the South Coast.

Hope to see some of you there.
Ross

I'll stick it in the diary and may well attend. I already have one Italian car (not one that belongs to this forum), and put a deposit on an Alfa spider yesterday. So I'll have a choice of which to bring. smile

I'll be there. I'm over in Southsea so if I could collect you lot in the mean valley that would save time, maybe west meon hut area? Although if the weathers good I will head over to hedge end.

A few pics from last time:

Great, thanks to you all for your early responses. I'll discuss route with Paddy and look to incorporate a Meon Valley meeting point.

The George & Falcon on the A32 at Warnford is a good choice. We'll incorporate a pick up on the way through from there. Probably around 9am.

will be there smile as last year those heading from 'North' are welcome to catch up in Newbury. Last year we used McDonalds at the retail park on A339 as a gathering point.

Will be very glad to see you. Alan, one of our friends from Wiltshire should come that way. I'll point him in your direction to make arrangements.

Looking at the thread from yesterday's meet up it would be worth booking a table as it appears it's getting very popular and it turned more into a lunch meet.

Table already booked!

Of course we never know how many folk are actually going to come as it is very informal, but have a table reserved for 20. Beyond that, we'll have to jump on others or eat in shifts!

Lots of support for this meet across multiple forums for Italian marques, as well as FB etc, so hope to see lots of people and some interesting cars there.

Hi,

There is no signage on the day if that is what you mean, but it isn't hard to find.

I will try to upload some images from maps to show where it is, but the Departure Lounge's website is also useful...

The cafe is located as per the pin. Just to the West of Alton.

When you arrive, drive straight through the car park, and the gate at the end will be open to allow access onto the field, where you should see lots of new friends and their nice cars!

This is directly in front of the cafe, so a good spot.

Hi, I meant is there a register or something we have to add our name to if attending?
