I am considering the AM exhaust upgrade, so would appreciate any comments from any members with experience of either the Works upgrade, or any after market upgrades.

It all depends on budget, removing the pre-cats and having highflow cats at the back will make one hell of a difference and you'll keep the stock sound.

QuickSilver Exhausts seem to be the go to for modern Aston.

I've not heard a V12 with a QuickSilver in person, but a colleague had a V8 SP10 with a SuperSport rear section and it was very impressive. Their manifolds are good for 30+ bhp too apparently.

There is an 8 page thread discussing it here : https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Yes, but the sum total of that thread is a sketch of the 'new' diffuser which is about as helpful as t@ts on a bull. Like the OP I am curious, but find it amazing that Aston want to charge such a huge amount without providing any pictures or sound clips on their website.

I guess for a sound clip you could just search for GT12 clips on youtube - plenty of those around.

So it is for certain the exact same intake manifold and exhaust setup as the GT12?

Would be really nice to know if there are any REAL picture out there of the diffuser. From the sketch on page 5 of that thread, it looks identical to the regular item, save that the lower piece is now dark (carbon fibre?) as opposed to painted. I wonder if the new diffuser is mandatory with the titanium exhaust or whether we are permitted to use our regular diffuser still?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but, as a mater of pure chance, I was discussing the very same this afternoon with my dealer. He advised (saw the internal memo to dealers) that the factory accessory upgrade is no longer available as of now - no reasoning as to why ( chatting over it maybe relates to the incoming AMR last-of run - and maybe not wanting to stop on its toes?). And no mention at all in relation to Manuals,,, Which is disappointing...

Bugger, was going to have it fitted while my car was due for a service in October.
Strange as the Performance Pack is still featured on their website.

I agree, you can keep the factory sound or go for a screamer. I've had both over the last 4 years and prefer the factory burble. As I said in my previous post, delete the primary cat, get high flow rears and if you fancy the cam, add that as well. I've got a clip of the car on startup which I can try and upload or PM me and I can whatsapp it to you.

Aye I used BR for my V8, Manifolds, exhaust lightened fly wheel etc ....found them completely unresponsive...not professional enough for me.

Well happy to be the bearer of great news! My dealer confirmed the Performance Pack for the V12 Vantage S is still available. I have a quote. Probably going for it when my car is due for a service in September/October.

I've got the quicksilver on my DB9V and the full Larini system on my Vanquish S. I must say I prefer the Larini. For the Vanquish S I've got a secondary CAT deletion and the Larini race pipes followed by the sports centre section. I've not actually bothered putting the car on a rolloing road yet, not really sure I trust most of the rolling road data out there. In theory this does produce more power and more torque but in all honestly I can't feel the differance, 600bhp to say 630bhp wasn;t really noticeable as I was without the car for a few days and driving my DD BMW750. I COULD tell the differance in the sound and it's very good smile

Yeah I had the Larini exhaust on my Vantage V8, was defo louder but not sure faster. I then had Bamford rose manifold and Sports exhaust and the difference was noticeable......I am interested in more poke, so thanks for your post. Seems like not many V12's have "proven " performance, am happy enough with the sound of the V12S....

Proven upgraded performance.....sports exhausts "claim" enhanced speed etc...but it's frankly mostly louder noise levels.

Well its certainly subtle - I think I expected the exhaust tips to at least look a little more industrial - GT8 stylee.
