I'm really tempted by a Veloce - but the lease deals are terrible, and I'm not willing to put my own money into one.
I mean, when you can get an Audi S4 for a similar lease price, it makes no sense. And seeing as I've only seen ONE Guilia on the roads since launch, I suspect many people feel the same.

Wanted it for Jan as my Merc goes back then but to get deal it had to be at least last quarter, so agreed December. Due to shut down don't think it would be ready until Nov earliest anyway
Turns out that Beechdale had ordered a bunch before the price increase, so the lease deals they advertise are all available in September Bit of a gentle thread revival but saw my first Veloce in the flesh today in Taunton on the way to the cricket. It did look good in dark red with yellow callipers.
I had been to the dealer and seen the boggo oil burner, which looked good, and the QF, which looked fantastic. However the Veloce did seem to work well and appear nice and compact.
Looking on autotrader, the are already appearing at the 32k mark already. Excellent.

does anyone have any clue if Apple Carplay and Android Auto can be specified as an option from any dealers now? Just been on the live chat with Alfa on their website and the representative told me that all late October build Giulia's will have this as an option. Going to confirm a PCH deal tomorrow on a speciale Giulia, dealer doesnt seem to know!

Yep, just like the Kia Stinger GT, any spec worth having puts it above £500 annual tax.
The Mustang's also starting to head towards £40k now with a few options.
I think with the Kia seeing what the equivalent merc or beemer costs it makes paying the tax a bit more paletabie The Mustang's also starting to head towards £40k now with a few options.
Thought I would revive this thread now people will be taking delivery of the latest lease deal. Here is my first thoughts since taking delivery yesterday:
Initial impressions are excellent - I had plenty of time to drive it yesterday on the 500 mile return trip home from Oxford!
Drivetrain is fantastic and it certainly pulls very well. The steering is sharp, but not so much to make motorway driving hairy or skittish. The overall experience is very balanced and well judged for the type of car. Economy was 36MPG over the 500 miles which wasn't bad considering it is brand new and I was pushing on.
It's also comfortable, the ride is perfectly judged in terms of balance and control IMO. It's sharper than the A4 its replacing, as expected, but supple enough for UK roads.
Although many reviews don't rate the interior, it's actually very good. Not at Audi level but on par to a 3 series. Likewise the infotainment is perfectly adequate and as good as the MMI in the Audi. The tan leather really helps to the lift the interior as I think the black would have been a bit dull and the red a little too menstrual - particularly with a red exterior.
It did come over all Italian on the way up, the sat nav lost the GPS signal and in turn the M6, which resulted in some interesting instructions as I circumvented Birmingham. It did correct itself eventually but I will be keeping an eye on it.
