I believe a lot of blame for poor sales lies with the dealers and lack of them, well if you try to find one on the locator and use AB30 post code you'll see what I mean. Check price ! 7 cars on auto trader and my factory order is cheaper than them all even with £1800 extras ! No discounts like that in Scotland hence 300 mile trip to collect.
Lack of dealers.
Stupid pricing that pushes it on the wrong side of 40k before discounts. The need to drop the price and then not discount.
ARUK being crap. No advertising.
Having hired one in Spain, the car is good, really good. If I was in the market for something new, I'd buy one in a flash.
IMO ARUK need to phone up all the Alfa specialists and put a couple on the each forecourt.

This is just one experience, but Meridien Milano in Portsmouth have been brilliant to me, yes they are a little far away, but one of the sales guys drops his car off with me and takes my car in if I need anything doing. They have been as good as their word with everything.
In terms of ARUK, they do seem to be doing more than they have in the past, still not enough. I do think a major investment in more dealers would help increase presence and as a result envourage sales.
My Giulia has been brilliant and I quite enjoy the rarity, but a few more to look at would be good!

Two great dealers in the Midlands. Chris Variava in Nottingham (Paul Jones is the man) & Johnsons in Solihull. In terms of ARUK, they do seem to be doing more than they have in the past, still not enough. I'm buying my 595 Competizione from the latter.
I was in Autolusso yesterday and chat involved Giulia sales which have superceeded the 159 & Brera already. Imagine what sales would be like with a dealership network! Anyone thought of saving big money, buying a Super and getting it mapped to Veloces hp and saving 8-10k even with nice alloys added?

Cheers for the inputs guys.
Fell in love with this today.
Veloce with the big wheels & lots of extras - surprisingly big money at £690/month at £2k deposit & 10,000 miles/year!!!
( maybe that's why we don't see many )
Edit: 2k down, 310 a month.

Are they offering the Veloce with the teledials now? I thought they'd somehow left it off the UK spec sheet.
Gorgeous looking car, though as soon as you add that paint and the performance pack (LSD, nice exhaust etc) it tops £40k and drops into the £500/yr tax bracket.
Guessing that'll significantly affect the monthly rental cost.

Some dealers seem to be able to offer a QV Pack to the Veloce which does finish the look of the car - it's only the wheels & boot lip spoiler, but it makes a big difference.
I'd argue that actually makes the car!I wonder what the differences are between the 200bhp engine and the 280bhp? Hopefully it's not just a map, though I hear it's possible to extract 280 from the 200 engine.
Being able to push the Veloce to 320bhp+ would make it an excellent prospect

Had my Giulia for 5 weeks now and so far so good. Needed fuel economy so opted for the diesel 180. Still to see another on the road and we're not blessed locally with AR dealers, so fingers crossed.
Only small gripe is that the alarm is too sensitive. Rain triggers it but understand it can be adjusted to reduce sensitivity.
Gratuitous pic
