Clunk when releasing clutch pedal?

Hello. Hope you guys can help. My Fiat Ducato 2.3 Multijet has developed a clutch clunk immediately after having the cambelt changed. Basically, when I release the clutch pedal (even in neutral), there is a loud clunk noise. The engine had to be lowered slightly to get the cambelt guard out so it must have caused some "play" somewhere. All engine mounts have been checked and are okay. Clunk is coming from the transmission area, presumably when taking up torque? There has also been an occasional clunk when turning on reverse - could it be related?

Did you figure out what was up? My Trafic has developed a clunk too and the clutch pedal feels almost squeaky when depressing
