Just a quick note to say thanks for all the notes of congratulations, one of the reasons I love this forum, you didn't have to but you did!

This has been an amazing experience, both as an obsessive Aston Martin owner & an ex-serviceman. When I first saw the thread on PH by Simon Lane, my first thought was, I'm not going to win, but I can make a donation (£100) to a great charity AND indulge my other great passion - Aston Martin!

I wanted to share a few thoughts & plans for the car:
1. The handover will take place at Aston Martin Cambridge on Wednesday & I'm honoured that both Simon & Adam Collins (RAF Red Arrows Red 10) will be there to hand me the crystal ECU. Pete Greaves (AKA PetrolPed on YouTube), IMO one of the best Vloggers will be making a video of the day & clearly I'll bore you all with photos of it.
2. The car will NOT be flipped!! Clearly everyone has their own opinions on this matter, personally I don't agree with it. Having said that, this is a life-changing asset & I am not a wealthy man; it will be sold at some point but through the correct channel (An Aston Martin Dealer) & with some of the funds passed back to the RAF BF.
3. In the short term the car will be wrapped up for the winter ready for the Spring & Summer where I am making plans to have the car tour high profile motoring events. I have no experience of this & not sure it's even possible; more work to be done. If any of you have any ideas as to what I might do, please don't hesitate to drop me a line? Oh & 'Give it to me?' doesn't count! laugh

Couldn't really have gone to a more appropriate winner, could it? Enjoy it to the full whilst in your ownership Humphrey. Maybe you can somehow use it to make more funds for the RAFBF whilst on your motoring event tour. Charity rides etc.

Many congratulations smile

Congratulations on the win. For what its worth I think you are doing the right thing taking it to various events etc to show it to as many fans as possible, it is a work if art. If you are ever tootling up this way you would be welcome to pop by for a cuppa whilst I drool over the car. Well done and happy Christmas smile.

Bought my tickets with the same thought , charity first and hoping for the extremely rare chance of winning .

I'm pleased it's gone to a PH'r so we can read more about it in the future.

Talking about bringing it to high profile events , next time the NE lot have a run out we'll see if you can tag along......

Enjoy.

Congratulations! Delighted to see it went to an enthusiast and somebody willing to share it via showing the car, for the benefit or more than just themselves.

Cheers!

First of all, congratulations!

Secondly, I'm glad a PH'er has won the car.

Thirdly, your plans sound well thought out and I hope you continue to garner attention and raise awareness for the fund.

Best of luck with it all. I hope you wring enjoyment out of every last second of it.

I haven’t really followed this but it seems like you’re a nice person that has won an Aston Martin. If so then really well done. Great news.

Fabulous you sound such a worthy winner and glad you will have the chance to enjoy it. Hopefully will get to see it at some point next year.

Importantly have you had a chance for a quick drive yet? ☺
