Musing on a snowy day. With all the debate around new Vantage, I find myself looking again at the Vanquish. An 8 speed non S model now looks incredibly good value to me even ignoring the chatter around being the last of the non turbo V12 engines. A coupe at 130 - 140 and a volante at 150 still with a little warranty are looking attractive.

Good plan! £130k for a car that would have been £200k+ is a great bargain, add in a full CF body and ceramic breaks it's an amazing car with an amazing sound track, I don't think you will be disappointed!

I'd take a used Vanquish over a new Vantage any day.

Ditto

One of the prettiest cars on the road today, had I not had the faults I did (as one of the first Uk cars) I may still have it today. That said If I wanted another auto Aston, this would absolutely be my car of choice (unless th S drops considerably).....

Agreed, I've found myself looking at this car at £135k thinking it looks like such a lot of car compared to the new Vantage and is to my eyes better looking.

I know they are different types of cars but the V12 is a big plus, I think the old waterfall interiors are much cleaner and better looking than the new DB11 and Vantage and the fact it was a halo car and all carbon makes it for me a special Aston. I dare say the new Vanquish will be in the £250k+ range so these are going to look quite cheap soon

Stunning. Just gets better and better with age. Coupe in a dark colour as above is the best combo for me and I'm normally a soft top man. This will be an all time classic and I didn't think that the case at first launch, when I thought it might date poorly

Ouch, that's cost someone a few quid in depreciation. I still prefer above car as I love ceramic grey.

Totally confused, that MUST be a typo?! That's a lot of car for that money! Has a good spec, likely £210k new in 2017?! If that isn't a typo it certainly is a bargain for someone!

hmmm, I'd say it's not far off. Assuming it's early 17, coming up to a year old with 10k miles. Also for my preference it's got the wrong wheel and piano black.

Great deal, but in the sense I think they all look great after the first year whack on them.

Just put my call into AM Bristol to take mine off sale. Decided I can't part with it. My V12V coupe will go in the Spring instead!

Tiny detail - Same acceleration as the new Vantage, with a higher top speed.

Sometimes we read the comment, 'you cannot compare new with used'.

Of course as soon as we drive off the forecourt, our new car becomes a used car, and this one at new Vantage money, is only 11 months used.

In a spec. to suit, I think one of these would be a good buy.

Interesting to read the positive comments re Vanquish. Even though I have a deposit against new Vantage I think I am going to press ahead with the Vanquish idea and look for a Volante ( best time of year to buy a convertible ?) my thinking being that come Spring the Vanquish volante will be coming into its own and that will be the real test for me in terms of new Vantage. Besides I hear anyone wanting carbon fibre options on the vantage is unlikely to get an early car.
Foolish, possibly but a deal on a vanquish volante for new vantage money now is just so tempting.
PS the 2017 black vanquish does look a steal at 136 ( before a year end haggle ) for coupe lovers

Some really nice Volantes out there. Starting at 115K for an 8-speed if you don't mind some miles. Otherwise the same 135K gets you into a 10K miler.
