My 4C has a sports exhaust fitted as standard, sounds lovely but it's very loud and SWMBO won't entertain being deafened for a week or two as we want to tour Italy later this summer. I want to get a standard exhaust fitted to make it a bit more bearable and keep the peace.
Is a standard exhaust expensive or available used and is a sports exhaust in demand if I wanted to sell it, if so what's it worth?

I suspect Jamie Porter has a skip full of standard exhausts given the upgrades he does on the 4C's (Alfaworkshop in Royston)

If it’s the drone at motorway speeds that’s the issue worth going for a spin in a car that has Jamie’s ( Alfa works ) exhaust fitted , it’s loud bu doesent drone. if you can also try a car with a non sports exhaust as it’s still quite loud , I had std on my first car , the 4c has zero sound proofing so it will never be quiet

I would agree trying Jamie for a std Zorst is a good call

Good shout. I'll get in touch with him this week.

Re quietness, I had a muffler on one exhaust for a trip from Castle Combe to Hampshire and it was a lot better, surprisingly quiet compared to teh sports exhaust. Just want it for this Euro trip then refit the sports system and wake the neighbours again.

We swapped a sports exhaust onto a car for a client last month when he bought the car. I'm sure he would be interested to sell it to you.

Andy I can't email you as your profile doesn't allow it. Drop me an email and I'll put you in touch. Cheers Joe

Soft foam earplugs for your other half.

Comfortable to wear with the added bonus that you can safely call her names under your breath when she fannies around trying to get out wink

Hi Andy, any details on the muffler you used for Combe? I want to book a day there but Merlin don't think their muffler will fit on our exhaust?

Hi Chris, I still have the muffler that I used but not the car so would be happy to sell to you at an attractive price. You only need one on one exhaust and it quietens it down enough to get through the noise meter. Let me know if you're interested. Andy
