Test Drive a 4C

That's second cheapest for sale at current price and based on mileage I suspect. There's another up in the Highlands for a bit less but that's +20k miles
To be fair that’s a good price for a well specced car. The chrome mirrors look a little tacky but very easy to change as they are fiat 500 mirrors. Got the nice seats, the rear boot spoiler and race exhaust with the right wheels. Although they were never supplied in gloss black so someone has refurbed them. The Alfa black is satin.
If it drives nice then could be ideal.
So finally I got to drive one today! Kindly Superleggera put me in contact with Paul at Alfa Romeo in Chesterfield and we drove down this morning. Absolutely loved it, drove a spider, and my wife did as well. Thanks for all of the advice, especially Superleggera who has pm'ed me as well with loads of advice. Pistonhead at its best!
I never saw a 4c in the wild and was very curious what it would do to me emotionally (not driven in it)
2 weeks ago I saw my first one, well 2 :-) at a cars and coffee, so i walked up to them...and they did me 'nothing' sadly enough...
There was also a black sport 350 Exige, which did something to me, I also seen some before, still good vibrations so to speak.
So the 4c is definitely from my bucket list, but the Exige V6 is still on ;-)
And ow, I thought the 4c would be like a Artega GT which I really liked and also driven in one, those have for me perfect measurements, good vibrations, sadly only short production, maybe 300 in totall, so very rare, come also with V6 but then from VW
with also those fine Recaro seats.
So I guess, the V6 little sportcars (Artega GT and Exige V6) win for me :-)
hm, can't upload my great PC Artega pictures...then some less from google

I may be able to help if it is a nearly new car you are after.
Possibly yes, do you work at a dealers. It is now Weds and I am still waiting for information from where I had the test drive. Is selling cars this easy that you don't have to call people anymore.robsco said:

Is selling cars this easy that you don't have to call people anymore.I test drove the QF at Alfa Chesterfield. First try was a waste of working morning as the battery was dead and every single ecu warning light lit up after they jumped it.
Second time was better, after I had to ring up to reorganise. They deffo don't chase.
Trade in offer on my R8 was £5k less than I sold it for in end, if they'd been more accommodating I'd have paid a deposit there and then at £65k for the spec I'd already done with them on the configurator.
Anyhoo while they were dicking about I drove their 4c in the lot (attempted to) but the head room height was too limited for me at 6ft 3ish. Superb finish to them and very pretty.

I'm 6ft 2 and I still have plenty of room. I think the seats can be lowered on the rails. Perhaps the one you drove was on one of the higher settings??Anyhoo while they were dicking about I drove their 4c in the lot (attempted to) but the head room height was too limited for me at 6ft 3ish. Don't know tbh. Head was brushing roof. Steering heavy at low speed obviously but I didn't get a full test drive so can't comment. Lovely things though. 200Plus Club said:

Depends on your ratio of body to legs , if you have a long body and short legs it might be an issue, not trying to be rude but the roof is low , every car I know of came with seat on the lowest setting , it’s a dealer and spanner to adjust so odds are it was probably low but it would pay you to try another , try and make one of the Alfa meets , if you could squeeze in it’s a very rewarding drive detee said:
It looks from the PH homepage that the spider will live on with a facelift. The black one on at London Morgan on Auto Trader looks great value for a 2017 car.
Heard the same but not borne out by the very last build slots rolling off the production line soon. You can no longer order a new one but rumours abound.Agree that car looks a cracker.

I Love the Alfa rumour mill, I often wonder if they actually know what they are doing as its always fluid, almost like they float a few ideas and then at some point all go out to lunch & decide what will happen " probably " Agree that car looks a cracker.
It will be great if they continue to make it but sales weren't massive, I'm wondering if the 6C production date has slipped so they are going to make a few more 4C's. The Coupe cant be sold in the states anymore as legislation there has dictated cars have to have side air bags & I understand the re engineering to fit them on the coupe has been ruled out as just to difficult . The Spyder not having a roof does not have to have them so to me that explains the Coupe being dropped.
Alfa UK as I understand it didn't take or weren't offered any of the special edition cars from the Geneva show so I'm guessing there's no guarantee if it caries on the UK will get any, I really hope we do, A facelift will be easy, a few cosmetic tweaks, probably a central exhaust and a harder map to give a few more bhp , I just hope they don't go down the route of adding to many more creature comforts as that will just add weight & will be going away from the ethos of the car
