Hi all, liked these cars for ages and considering getting one. On the alfa finance app it looks like they're 0% over 24 months.

This seems like a good way to get one, then you're not taking the risk on depreciation.

What sort of deals are about now?

Any options really worth getting?

How is the depreciation affected by 0% over 24 months?

Can't see the 0% finance deal on their website. But the illustration I have seen is a £12k deposit and then £525 over 2 years. But it's only 8k miles a year. With a car like this you are going to want to drive it so at least 12k miles a year is mandatory IMO.

They seem to have a habit of publicizing deals with very low mileage, 5k is not unusual for them. Its headline grabbing to a certain extent.

Though I suppose a few QF's will be sold to people comfortably well off to just have them as a weekend toy.
Anecdotally depreciation is better on the Alfa than its close rivals from BMW etc, probably due to more limited supply.

I've got other cars so 8k is fine. Excess milage is 12p too.

Depreciation on a GFV deal is not my problem as they're taking back...

Oh, that makes sense now...

I did a 0% deal over 2 years, 50% upfront, 50% 2 years later.

Unfortunately I'll deffo be hit with the depreciation! But, trust me, its worth it smile

Discounts on these nowhere near as big as on competitors for the sole reason that right now they don’t need to be.

I haven’t seen any 0% deals other than the balanced payments one mentioned above.

Dealer cash margin in these is apparently 7% so that should give you an idea of what is achievable. If you get over £4K off a £70k car on top of any manufacturer contribution I would say you are doing extremely well.

I was offered £4K off a new car (around £66k) I got a pre reg low spec (£64k) for £52k, I also got 4.9% apr which was pretty decent too. You need to buy as cheap as possible as the trade in prices are all over the place.

The reason why trade prices are dropping a bit is because people are trying to buy stupid cheap. Can't complain about low residuals when customers don't want to pay for the goods in the first place.

True but this was back when the car was new to the market.

A bid of £38k was indicative of a dealer who had no confidence in the car, several others offered 42k and then a few more at £52k to £54k.
