My order has been placed bounce now the wait begins! Am also going to cave and get Xenons added, have a hire car this week and it doesn't have them I felt like Mr Magoo driving down the lanes, although that could just be this car I don't want to be stuck for 4 years thinking "I really should have ordered Xenons!"
No that’s the standard lights, very poor. Well worth the upgrade.

Well not tried the 595 with standard lights but my Audi which is being traded has Xenons with adaptive front lighting so I have go used to Xenons, the hire car I have at the moment for work has standard lighting and its awful.

The 595 has suffered with spec creep from me though lol. Was supposed to be a 595 with the Performance Pack, its now turned into one with PP, 7" Nav, Carplay and Xenons. Thats it now though, no more hehe

Great news on the order being placed. My dealer said he still has no idea when mine is likely to be delivered though.

My golf that I traded for my current Turismo had the adaptive lights and it was a big shock going back to halogen. They are awful even after buying the best bulbs I could find. I've not tried a 595 with xenons but they have to be a lot better.

I know you said thats it and no more but seeing as you've gone for the better screen and car play have you thought about the beats audio? The standard sound is ok but the beats is supposed to be a fair bit better.

Sorry forgot Beats its already on the order! Confirmation from the dealer as follows:

595 Comp with Performance Pack, in Abarth Red with Black Decals, 7" Nav, Beats Audio, Xenons and Carplay

I did want tints as well but can have that done locally for a lot less so that will be done separately. Also had paint protection thrown in free.

Tints used to be standard on the Comp are they not anymore?

Tints at the back should still be standard, it's still listed on the configurator as coming with it.

The dealer called me today saying that the magnesium wheels aren't available to order but the titanium ones are so I've swapped my order to have those.

There was also some confusion when he asked me to confirm the spec I was ordering via email. I said yes it's correct, I want all the options apart from the smoking pack. He thought I wanted the smoking pack so added that too, I corrected him but apparently he couldn't amend it so I'll be getting the smoking pack too. To be honest the ashtray will be useful for putting my parking change in.

The ashtray is definitely handy! Whilst there are a few storage areas on the 595 they are all dinky toy in size awkward and nothing fits! The ashtray is great for your change. I put a Chinese knock off Abarth badge on the lid of mine to make it look less drab and ashtray-like.
The xenon headlights are bright but the cut off is quite severe plus the headlight washers almost wash the whole front of the car!

Just seen a picture of a yellow 595 with front end damage written off. The car had a PH sticker on, anyone on here?

More than likely our one then... frown

OSF corner gone and NSR wheel hanging off? If so, yes, ours.

That’s the one. I hope everyone involved is ok, such a shame to see it looking like that. Will the plan be to replace with another one?

Yeah, thankfully the wife who was alone in the car is doing ok - she had some unsightly bruising from airbags and the belt as well as some soreness in her shoulder, neck & back from the car being thrown around at impact, but is cery much on the mend with everything fading away now.

The car was hit on the Drivers corner (against a 3rd party drivers corner as they had cut across thw carriageway to take a RH turn in front of her) and as a result was spun round, and thrown up in the air, still rotating, after hitting a kerb/rocks sideways - eventually landing down an inclined verge facing the opposite direction to where she was originally travelling.
Luckily we have footage from 3rd party CCTV covering the whole incident and showing that she was not at fault and also that she had no time to react to the imminent incident, which has been a massive benefit.

The plan, pending the Insurance situation, is to replace with another Abarth - current spec unknown though, but it should at least be another Turismo.

Currenty everything is up in the air a bit due to smallprint / T&Cs, but it should hopefully be sorted soon!

Car stood up very well all considering, we were quite impressed.

God that sounds awful. There really are some shocking drivers on the road. Good luck getting it all sorted out.

Bloody hell that sounds terrible but good to hear the car protected your wife as best it could. Lucky there was some 3rd party footage of the incident.

Excellent news, how long from manufacture to delivery? I would think it'll be within the month. Hopefully I won't be that far behind you.

Mid October at the worst which isn't all that far away.

My order was amendable on Monday as the dealer took off the smoking pack that they mistakenly added when they put the order in.

Tapping my fingers on the desk... is it the end of September yet? hehe Car is being built next week! Wish I could watch it being assembled over a camera feed or something would be exceptionally cool! Getting rather over excited, my first ever brand new car spec'ed to how I want it, feel like a child waiting for Christmas!

Haha the wait for a new car is a killer. I still don't have a build week so you are well and truly winning the race but as this is your thread it's only fair that you get yours first.
