Abarth 595 Competizione as a daily?

I have to tease the information out of him which is a bit annoying but he's only been in the car game since early this year.
Its different to what the customer service team said though as they noted it isn't scheduled for build until the latter part of the week. I will wait and see.
I have had similar issues with the dealer, when talking to Abarth Customer Care I compared it to extracting blood from a stone. They have since been alot better but I can imagine that this is as of a result of me talking to ACC and not off their own improvements. Its different to what the customer service team said though as they noted it isn't scheduled for build until the latter part of the week. Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately these aren’t common where we live and the dealers aren’t as knowledgeable as you lot. (They only sell the 595 Competizone in New Zealand - nothing else). We are happy to buy the right car in the UK and bring it over if required
The idea behind one of these was a fun toy car for my and my wife to share when we feel like a bit of fun for short trips mostly in the city. Our current cars are perfectly suited to road trips and long journeys but can’t be exploited in town.
No snob value needed - the fact is over here no one will know what it is anyway.
So basically what would you buy that would be the most fun for a short blast on the road and the odd lap at a track day.
Hi can you actually buy one of these in NZ? I asked the Fiat dealer in Dunedin as the only dealer I could reach by phone. I would like to get one when I go back to NZ and thought I would have to bring from the UK Unfortunately these aren’t common where we live and the dealers aren’t as knowledgeable as you lot. Hi Dan,
Hope you are well, you're car is currently in port in Bristol so I'm expecting to have it here by the end of next week and aim for you to take ownership shortly after this

I've also had a call from Milan, the lady said that she can tell me that it's due for delivery to the dealer on Wednesday so I'll be hot-footing it down there to have a look at it as soon as I can.
The dealer was also trying to push GAP insurance, which I haven't bothered with on any of my cars if I did I certainly wouldn't be buying it from the dealer. He was also pushing damage cover which is £400 for 3 years. I'm a bit tempted with this but I'm not sure.
I've asked that they don't wash it or prep it in any way. If I get it next Friday I know what my Saturday will be doing. Sunday I'm booked to go to Duxford IWM with Abarth east midlands so that will be a great 1st outing for it.
Home stretch now!

I think mine must have been on the same boat as I got a call from my dealer this afternoon to say it was on UK soil. They want it for their September figures so want to register it asap.

Great news on the delivery. I will organise my own GAP as well!I've also had a call from Milan, the lady said that she can tell me that it's due for delivery to the dealer on Wednesday so I'll be hot-footing it down there to have a look at it as soon as I can.

Might try and make the IWM meet if I manage to get mine in time.
I think we should organise a PH Abarth meet as well, would appear there are enough of us
Damage cover, if you can find out who the guy is locally that does smart repairs for all the main dealers you'd get quite a few repairs out of £400. In addition as this is insurance I guess there's a risk it could get picked up on by your main insurer if you claim, I suspect it would count as a claim whatever the sales person says. Gap insurance is lots cheaper direct than via a dealer
Not far now. Will you be going to see the car once it arrives at the dealer?
I've transferred my plate off my current car and given the certificate details to the dealer, I'm hoping to get my car on Friday. I've been to halfords today and picked up the auto finesse ceramic kit which I want to apply on Saturday.

I look forward to the pics! Even if my one arrived early I am in Cardiff for work at the moment so couldn't go and get it anyway.
Make sure you report back when you have it!
It's caused me a few issues as I want to apply ceramic coating whilst it's all new and clean but I've managed to borrow my dad's car for a couple of days. Make sure you report back when you have it!
I asked the dealer for some photos now that it has arrived but he refused. He said I can wait to see it in person tomorrow. Great customer service.
