Cheers Bungle, no rush keep me posted! Nice look on the key, was planning on doing the same as it feels a bit cheap and delicate, I also own a Citroen Realy that has the same fob and even that has the metal hoop!

In other news I washed the car over the weekend!

Came up nice and shiny! While I knew it was dirty the rinse bucket was filthy, Megs shampoo and a wash it really did the business!

If I park mine on your drive I wonder if you’d notice, think it’s filthy and clean it again rofl

Sorry to take it slightly off topic, but I'm looking at changing the tyres on my 595.

Any suggestions? I'd prefer to go down the Premium route rather than Albanian ditch finders

TIA

Michelin PS4’s now available in the correct size. Comps came with PS3’s.

The other alternative which I think other hot hatches run is the RE050a from Bridgestone. I had them on my civic and were superb.

I have Michelin pilot sport 3 on my new comp which are far superior to the pirelli p zeros on my turismo.

Michelin have now released pilot sport 4 in the correct 205/40r17 size that the 595 needs so when my ps3's are done I'll swap to ps4. I ran them on my mk7 golf gti and they were really good on that.

I'm a bit of a Michelin fan boy though as I run them on my bike too.

Cheers guys

I've seen a number of people recommending the PS3's. The only thing is I can't seem to find anyone who stocks them. Do you know if they've been superceded? I'd assume they have by the PS4?

Black circles have stock and can get them to you and fitted by Friday. However for the extra £10 per tyre I’d go with the PS4 (also available fitted on Friday)

You had to click on Michelin rather than looking at the lists when on mobile.

Inspired by the reader's ride thread, how're the new cars going?

Mine is coming up on 4k miles now and is running brilliantly. I've had was a cracked windscreen, it was odd as the crack just appeared and there was no noticeable impact that caused it. Possibly a faulty screen but I didn't have time to mess about with getting it booked into the garage for inspection so Autoglass swapped it out for me.

The exhaust seems to rattle a bit from the back end when it's not in sport mode but generally that's not a problem as I run in sport 90% of the time. I'll get the garage to have a look at it when it goes for a service.

Other than that the car is great, I am so pleased that I swapped from the Turismo, it's all round a better car. The roof gets folded back as much as possible too, the heated seats are really coming into their own now that the temps have dropped. I've worked out that i stay nice and warm with the seats on low and the fans on mid speed, vents on windscreen and temp at high.

There's an alarm fitted to my car now so I feel a lot more at ease that it's not going to disappear. The only other mods are the steering extension and the heated seats, I have no plans to change anything else. I love it.

Mines still going well, just over 2000 miles (I haven't been out for work a great deal of late, well by car anyway). It desperately needs another wash as well!

I have a rattle from the exhaust as well, mine is there in sport mode but you have to be stood behind it to hear the rattle, I have put it down to a lose heat shield, seems to be coming from the passenger side.

Looking into getting cruise installed in the new year, the roadworks on the M6 are a killer, also for everywhere else, it seems to be at its happiest cruising at 90, not 75 lol!

Other than that I love it, makes me smile everytime I get in it driving

Just seen a picture of a yellow 595 with front end damage written off. The car had a PH sticker on, anyone on here?
More than likely our one then... frown

OSF corner gone and NSR wheel hanging off? If so, yes, ours.
That’s the one. I hope everyone involved is ok, such a shame to see it looking like that. Will the plan be to replace with another one?
Few months since the above.... the old Turismo was a total loss. frown
Insurance is all settled/closed now so not fussed about the pics anymore;

Wife had a replacement car provided by Insurance after much conversation. A brand new Turismo but an 'in-stock' car and not what she wanted - a compromise...
She did not want said car from day one of the process starting but taking the cash instead would have left us in a worse position so we took it but we drove it from the supplying dealer to our preferred dealer on the day it was ready and just left it there with delivery miles for them to sell on a Sale or Return basis. Our preferred dealer has been excellent with us over the last 3 years, so we were happy to do this.

Meh;

Now, it's been for sale for a couple of months but she wanted to get back behind the wheel of an Abarth so we have now just struck a deal to change the Turismo she doesn't want to a 595C Comp which she does want - she was looking at a spanking new Green one but the numbers were far nicer on this one instead... Also, the Cabrio choice was a spur of the moment just because it was available and a spec she liked - neither of us have had a ragtop before!

Much better.... smile

Hopefully we'll have it within a week... fingers crossed!

Fantastic choice on the 595c. It's more like a massive sunroof than a true convertible but it means the roof is operational at up to 55ish mph. It looks a nicely spec'd car to as it's got xenons.

Enjoy the new car!

My wife has a 595C with a fagtoppen and loves it. Brilliant pocket rocket.
