Abarth 595 Competizione as a daily?

Found it, an update for the app if you select update to the new version under the settings in the app.

I’m not an Android user - how do I get the apple CarPlay to mirror my screen? Is that what it’s meant to do? Is there an app I need?

I’ve got Siri to work but nothing else that I would expect CarPlay to do.

You need the 7 inch screen and the relevant hardware within it. Not all cars will have it.

If you do then you need to connect the phone to the car with a cable and then select the car play icon from the screen. This video may assist.

I have the 7" Nav with Carplay, all you do is plug your iOS device into the USB port and it will show the Carplay option on the screen (there isn't an app Carplay is baked into iOS), it's pretty straight forward. If it doesn't work, chances are you don't have Carplay, it was a £150 option when I ordered mine so wouldn't be surprised if not everyone took it.

Thanks to both - even though it was part of the advert, it would appear that mine doesn’t actually have it - they specc’d the large Nav and Beats but didn’t get the CarPlay. Can I get it retro fitted?

To the best of my knowledge, no. I am sure I have seen it on the forums or Facebook groups and its not just a case of a software update but either a physical module or wiring. I could be wrong have a search around as someone may have cracked it by now.

I saw the android update you posted about on Instagram - I can’t even get the apple CarPlay to work in mine.

Yellow mirror caps & brake calipers came as standard on the 2017 Trofeo.

Some cars its an option that needs to be activated - think it's about £150.

You have the 7inch display and android auto/carplay activation was sold to you from the dealer? Cant you chase them to get it added? as far as I'm aware you can call up a dealership and pay that price to get it added to the car.

It was from A dealer - not a main dealer though. Car is almost 2 years old now.

Their advert said it but I didn’t pay too much attention to it - just assumed it was standard on the 7” screen and that I’d just not been setting it up correctly.

Thanks for the link to the mirrors, I know what to look for now. If I hadn’t just ordered a silly gearknob replacement I’d have got those.

No problem. There are after market ones you can get from TMC or MS-R I think

Hi guys, some stunning looking Abarths on here!
We’ve just picked up our Brand New 595 Competizione in Circuit Grey today and absolutely loving it! The noise is absolutely hilarious 😂
One Question we have......am I right in saying they come with the lovely Metal Abarth fuel filler cap and BMC filter as standard?? Ive done alot of reading on Sites and YouTube and most are saying they definitely come with those as standard?

I thought the metal caps only came with the performance pack (along with the antenna plug)

But a few people on here have them anyway - someone with far greater knowledge than me will be along shortly to give u all the info.

Love the look of your Car mate with the added Yellow highlights......thinking of some Yellow accents myself to go along with the yellow calipers.
Im not on Facebook so cant join the huge Abarth Community on there but judging by the YouTube Vids ive seen, ALL Comp’s should definitely come with BMC filter (its stated in the Brochure!) and Alloy Cap.
Ive emailed Abarth UK to see if they can shed any light on the issue

Presumably you don’t have the caps or filter?

Contact the dealer - they’ve been known to miss adding them before sale.

I have a look at RoadStr......thanks for that!
Defo no Filler cap......will check the airbox asap tho.

Car was bought from Arnold Clark.....Salesman wasnt aware of the Cap/Filter unsurprisingly tho he did say he’ll look into for me & call me 2moro.

Ive ordered a couple of the Abarth Shields for the wings to tie in with the Yellow Calipers

219 and 280lb after.

Very crackly now on over run. Not sure how much I like that.
