Regarding the LSD surely you can spec it as an individual item if you want? I think It used to be available that way about £1200 extra

Indeed hopefully in the nicest possible way I get mine first as; I am largely quite impatient and also quite excited as it's the first ever brand new car I have ordered, one of my bucket list items ticked! (sad I know!)

I was thinking about Xenons earlier, I left them off, but there is a thinking from the dealer it might arrive with them, I dunno, maybe they know something i don't?

Cruise control seems an easy retrofit and a bit of an arse you can't spec the 595 with it really, I will probably be doing the same but seeing how it affects the warranty before I do, however lots of others seem to have done it without issue!
I hope you get yours first too especially as you ordered earlier than I did. Has the dealer given you an update? It's special ordering a new car but it's a shame that Abarth don't have a customer tracking portal. With VW once you've got the order number you can see where the car is with the build then follow it's location, docks, boat, UK etc. The dealer has said that they won't know anything until it's on it's way to them.

Xenons won't come with the car unless they have been specified or the dealer has pulled some strings for you. I've upgraded the bulbs in my Turismo which has helped with the standard lights but they are still pretty poor. Well I think they are anyway, many think they are fine. I'm just more used to the light output that the xenons put out.

I have dropped my dealer an email asking if it can be added but I don't think it can.

I noticed at Abarth Day that the Comp they had on display didn't have the record monza exhaust, the configurator has also changed so that the monza exhaust is a no cost option. I've noted to the dealer that I want the monza.

The dealer has confirmed LSD is only available as part of the performance pack. They have also noted my requirements for a Monza exhaust, I think I've asked him enough questions now but he's said he will send the build sheet as soon as the factory send it to them so that I can double check it.

I asked Abarth on facebook if they factory is closed and they confirmed that it is, they expect the factory to be open to new orders in a couple of weeks.

Odd that it used to be on the configurator, the rivale still shows it as an option for £1250

I saw this review yesterday and thought the guy summed up my ownership quite well: https://youtu.be/MSN-gVjcuPM

I know it’s not the best car out there but even after 2 years of ownership I look forward to commuting because of it. And then on drive outs with PH members in bigger more powerful cars I still keep up.

The rivale is a 695 model though so it gets a few bits that the others don't, wood dash for example. £1250 will probably be about the same cost for an aftermarket lsd though to be fair.

Thats a good review, the turismo isn't far off being exactly the same and I've enjoyed owning it. I normally go for a completely different car when I get a new one my recent history is - impreza, volvo v40 t4, Cooper S, 325 convertible, RRS supercharged, pug 208, golf gti, 595 turismo. So the 595 has really got undermy skin. I can see the 595c being with me for a while.

The rivale comes as standard with carbon dash, it's really a comp without sabelts but plus a few trimmings and fancy paint. It's very nice really but I prefer the comp as it's more hardcore but does make me look slightly like a chav

So after pushing the dealer and houding them for an answer, they have fessed up that our orders didn't go in before the factory closed, thus we wont have our cars until late September/early October. Am a bit pissed if I am honest, a 8-12 week wait has become a 16-20 week wait, I'll confess we weren't in much of a hurry however it would have been good to get this info at the outset, the work we have had to do to get this info out of them has left a bitter taste.

That's really bad that the dealer has been avoiding giving you a straight answer especially as you've ordered 2 cars. At least you'll be on a 68 plate if that makes a difference to you, I have a private plate so I'm not all that fussed.

What dealer are you using? Mine is coming from Research in Nuneaton.

I've been reading on some other forums that the 2019MY cars will be have reduced performance due to euro 6 emissions. Golf R down to 300 from 310 for example. I fear the 595 will also see a reduction but I've not seen anything to say that's a definite.

I won't name and shame, but they are based in Northampton...

Yes I was wondering however I don't know if my dealer would understand even if I asked them to be honest! I might contact Abarth UK and see what's what on all fronts, will report back what I learn!

I don't know how real these are but I ripped these off the modified abarth facebook page, they were uploaded yesterday but the page admins.

I'd love the carbon pack but it's not cheap! New monza exhaust looks good and I'd like to add the dust/rain sensors to my order.

It says auto lights/wipers incompatible with auto rear mirror, I'd say in the real world the auto mirror is much more useful. Never found auto wipers to work 100% right and it's easy to see it's dark and turn the lights on. Dimming mirror however is an unobtrusive pleasure. They are taking the mick with prices on that awesome new green! I'm not sure about the new Monza I suspect it's part of the package to try to meet the updated non fiddled euro6 regs. I like they way with the spring flap you can zip it up to 3k and make it rasp!

Agreed the mirror is far more useful than auto wipers and lights. Also you can keep the lights on if you wanted as they auto turn off when the ignition is off.

Odd that that they can't combine both setting as most manufacturers offer that and more.

I suspect that they haven't up dated the wiring much to offer this option so that's why it's either/or but that is just a guess. The model must be due to be replaced in next year or so

Just had confirmation from Abarth that the 595 range wont be affected by the new emissions update. They have also been very proactive into looking into the dealer stuff for me keeping me updated on whats going on with the factory, which is more than can be said from the dealer, still radio silence, however for those interested and for those with one ordered, apparently the factory reopens for ordering this week!

Hmmm.... Not sure I believe that...

From 1st September, nearly all new passenger cars must be certified to WLTP (which replaces NEDC). This invariably means the CO2 figure will be higher (although hopefully in the same VED band) and the 'combined' economy will be worse. WLTP is a much more representative test than NEDC, so the economy figures will be closer to what you actually will achieve.

I say 'nearly all', as there is a 'derogation' process for vehicles built before 1st June to to registered on or after 1st September. Vehicles with Whole Vehicle Type Approval (i.e. pretty much anything other than kit built cars and conversions) built June through August cannot be registered after 31st August. Won't apply to your car if it is not built yet...

They said they were hoping for the first cars to be delivered early October but someone would call me to give a more accurate timeline soon.

I meant in terms of power output..
