No mine was Compezione Red, it was never advertised, it came straight from Alfa, used Robbie at Piccadilly in Knaresborough. I bought it unseen!

It was in a great condition, but had it detailed and it came up a treat.

I’m looking for a sub 5k Spyder now. I see now value buying from a dealer so I’m waiting for a private car to come up. Black, Red, Grey, Yellow preferred in that order. Must have leather and leather dash. If you are selling please PM me.

Not sure they attract the premium you'd expect over an SE unless they're uber low (ie delivery mileage) which is kind of odd.
Looks like they carry a premium now yeah.

There's a nice grey spider on AT with Palmer's. It doesn't have the leather dash but I'd find it hard to ignore all of those lovely carbon extras if I was in the market.
Good luck with your search. Let us know how you get on.

I’m surprised at the lack of private sale cars. Especially as many dealers are viscous on valuing them. Nice private car on PH classifieds but a coupe so doesn’t work for me.

I have only had my spider for a couple of months, and have just had an operation so cannot get in and out of it! So it will sit on my drive for 6 months. With regard to a private sale, if I got my money back and avoided all the nutters I would possibly consider it. However a few years ago I put my Z4M coupe up for sale and it was hard work. One guy really wanted it but played hard ball, and was stunned when I refused to sell it to him! He was frankly rude. In the end I sold it to a lovely guy who was really straightforward but they are few and far between.

Fabulous car, and I will miss driving it, however looking at it is quite nice!

Selling a used car privately used to be a fairly easy thing to do, it certainly isn't anymore..
It took me 5 months to sell my Griff, plenty of chancers with offers lower than most traders were bidding me for the car. In the end it sold to a really nice guy who travelled 200 plus miles to buy it with barely any haggling.

I'd be very tempted to hang on to it but maybe a well worded ad on here making it clear what your prepared to accept for it might be worth a go? Hopefully it'll take so long to sell you'll be fully recovered enough to drive it again by then 😉

To be honest, that's pretty much my thought to hang on to it. They are great cars, and they seem to be on the rise all of a sudden.

I’m actively looking for a car now. Last weekend I travelled 300miles (round trip) to view a spider. The seller had no invoice for the chassis bolt tightening service though assured me it had been done.

We discussed price and were £500 apart from a deal. I agreed to call Alfa the next day and come back to him. The second service was overdue by over 6 months. Despite the car covering barely any miles, Alfa UK confirm this torpedoes the remaining warranty. Worrying but not a deal breaker for me.

Since then I’ve called, left voicemail, text and emailed. The seller is totally blanking all contact. I assume he has either decided to keep it or has taken I’ll. Either way, given the distance I travelled in good faith, it’s beyond rude of him not to at least reply. My point is, some sellers are lunatics as well.

Detee, I wish you a speedy recovery. Obviously I don’t know what you paid for your car. Please contact me if you are minded to sell. I have a number I’m willing to offer for the right car that’s way stronger than any dealer. PM if you wish to discuss. Cheers

The "high mile" white coupe seems to have gone from Saxton.

Has it? Looks to be still advertised on here, but no longer on AT...
It's quite difficult to understand what is actually on the market. For example the 2 Coupe's advertised on here are no longer available at Platts, as they've folded. I wonder where the cars having ended up. Auction perhaps?

I think the Platts cars may have ended up at Stoneacre.

The white coupe at Saxton is no longer on their website (when I checked at lunchtime) or AT.

The sexton car has sold according to one of my clients.

I've just listed this. Which is a good buy for someone.

And the first person to view my Spider on Saturday put an offer on it. Pending finance decision. it's sold.

Lovely looking LE. There don't seem to be many coming through the classified now.

Good luck with the sale of the Spider. Very rare in that colour combination.

That'll be another ex-FCA car. They are currently de-fleeting all their press cars and corporate demonstrators now the 4C coupe is no longer available in the UK. I can tell by the reg. Will be a great buy for someone.

Mine is an ex FCA car, I've seen the Mango coupe before funnily enough when the supplying dealer sent me pics of my car when it was at the press garage before it was delivered.
