4C - Where are we with prices right now?
Discussion
[quote=detee]We definitely are! Is yours an anniversary?
Are you pleased with it? the paint response fabulously to a detail btw!
[quote=priley]OK, a couple pics of my Spider, collected last week. Detee, we have the same car!
No, mine's a regular Spider. I love the car. Driving it feels like such an experience and aesthetically it looks so special, inside and out.
And yes, the paint seems to really respond to the light; without it it looks like solid red but it really comes alive under lights or sunshine. Mine could just do with a wash now though, let alone a detail!

Stuart.....Looks like you have the space saver fitted on the back
To such a good looking car this is the single biggest styling feck up
The cars designed to handle , many race cars have wider front track than rear for a reason , it handles rather well so I guess they knew what they were doing , function over looks but they, did ok on looks , maybe it’s the best compromise of form and function for many years To such a good looking car this is the single biggest styling feck up
Soon someone will suggest it needs lowering lol

I just picked up the spider from Hampshire Sports and Prestige yesterday, I traded in my 06 Cayman S for it and bloody hell, I had done tests drives over the year and wanted something more visceral and thats what I got, shame the roof wasn't on right and I got a cold noggin. Didn't stop me smiling on the way back to Essex.
Things I need to do,
Sort out the PPF as its starting to peel and I would like the car done all over and wheel protection. (can anyone recommend anywhere good? I'm leigh-on-sea way)
Look into the Halo 9 alpine unit just for ease of use.
The steering is my only worry, what are the guaranteed fixes for the tram-lining issue?

Jamie at Alfaworks will sort the tramlining.
Make sure the locking bolts on the inside of the car are fixed properly and the two door bolts are connected correctly too for the roof. As a side I saw somebody in the US is developing a carbon fibre detachable roof which I’d love as the the standard material can seem a bit cheap to me.

Some cars have had the PPF done on warranty, you could try that route & then whoever they use pay extra for the rest, really depends on the age of the car I guessThings I need to do,

If you want the mutts nuts I would recommend CG Performance http://cgperformance.co.uk/about-us/ Its my old 4C in the pictures after it was PPF'd
thanks for the quick replies,
I'm just near Belfairs woods and if possible I could have a look just to see how much it affects the current controls.
Thanks

Did you have the whole car done? Would you mind giving me a rough costing if possible?_Superleggera_ said:
Nice one! Where in Essex are you?
I'm down in Leigh. You are welcome to see my Halo 9 install if you wish.
Cheers

Hang on, I think I drive past your motors on the way to the seafront! I say to the wife you had my two dream cars if it is you. I'm down in Leigh. You are welcome to see my Halo 9 install if you wish.

Yes including headlight lenses , pillars in matt film , inside tub areas that are susceptible but I think you need to call, it was a few years ago & wasn't the cheapest but a stunning job. On the new 4C Alfa agreed to replace all the factory film under warranty so I paid their chosen company to do the rest, it was awful by comparison, hindsite is a wonderful thing but its good enough to stop most chips but I hate seeing the edges
Luckily the Alfa workshop team had a spot for today and had to make sure I was first. Got a Scotland road trip coming up so need to get this done.
One other thing, do people find the windscreen becomes peebledashed with it being so low? My caymans was terrible and didn’t know if it affected this car.

Be interested to know from an expert how they handle differently when spacers are fitted

No doesn’t need lowering but I’m sure they could have made the rear track a tad wider

They do handle slightly better but you risk invalidating warranties. Depends on dealer to dealer though. I'd clear it with one first if you are going to do it (in writing).Be interested to know from an expert how they handle differently when spacers are fitted

cant see any dealer putting that in writing, any issues & Alfa would leave the dealer to sort it at the dealers expense and the dealer would probably blame you for abusing the car highway said:
Anyone had experience driving a car with race pack vs one without?
Most cars I’m considering have race exhaust but I have concerns about ride quality on a car with race suspension. Fatter anti roll bars apparently included.
You'll struggle to notice the difference. Most cars I’m considering have race exhaust but I have concerns about ride quality on a car with race suspension. Fatter anti roll bars apparently included.
The early non race suspension cars in 2014 and 2015 didn't have a rear roll bar so they are the softest cars.
After that they all have roll bars with the race setup having larger diameter as you say.

It looks like the London Morgan car is back up for sale privately, that's a lovely spec. I wanted red or I would have bought that one.
