4C - Where are we with prices right now?

That does look well priced.
Just out of interest why the change of heart on the 4c purchase Mark?
Practically, it would be very tight fitting in my single garage. I haven't driven one yet either and not sure how I would get on with it as have a bad back at times. Just out of interest why the change of heart on the 4c purchase Mark?
The other main reason is indecision. Have been thinking about selling my Tamora after 8 years but not sure if I will regret it. My daily is a 440i which I also love, but not sure whether to go back to one car to replace both at some point or stick with 2.
Price now changed to £37,495, looks like it may have been a typo 😔

I've been following this thread for a while, as was considering a 4C, but think I have decided against it now.
However, thought this seems cheap for anyone looking for a coupe:

In case the ad disappears:
2016/66
6400 miles
Giallo
Leather dash
Leather seats
Yellow calipers
CF headlights
17/18 matt black wheels
£34795

I came to 4c ownership after owning many different TVR's and in particular a Griff 500 for 9 years. It was a tough decision to sell my Griff but looking back now I don't regret it. The 4c trumps it in just about every department with the possible exception of the V8 soundtrack..The other main reason is indecision. If your garage space is tight however you will probably struggle to get in and out, it's a wide car anyway and with the need to get the doors quite wide open to climb over the carbon will you might struggle to get out comfortably.

Re getting in if you hold the remote down on open the window will come down which makes it a little easier If your garage space is tight however you will probably struggle to get in and out, it's a wide car anyway and with the need to get the doors quite wide open to climb over the carbon will you might struggle to get out comfortably.

Might sound crazy but at my last house the garage was the small normal size and I found the best way was to push the car out the garage and then get in it, obviously same applies putting it away, it was a Maserati 4200 so big car and not that hard to push.T5GRF said:
I've gone for the intermediate setup for fast road use, fingers crossed it'll suit my style of driving...
How are you finding the set up?I’ve got mine booked in for 4th Jan for the road set up, but if the intermediate is better I’ll go for that as it seems to be the same price.

Yes, both options are the same price.I’ve got mine booked in for 4th Jan for the road set up, but if the intermediate is better I’ll go for that as it seems to be the same price.
To be honest I haven't driven the car since I picked it up from them, just too busy over the last few weeks. I may get out in it tomorrow, if I do I'll post up my thoughts on here then.
Just been looking at others for sale, and this Spider at Auto100 has been for sale a while I think and is at £38,980 now, in Rosso Competizione with dark wheels would be my ideal combination, also CF mirrors and intake. No leather dash but could probably live with that.

But why oh why do some cars not come with reverse sensors and cruise? Given they are free options why would you not tick them? Cruise i could live without on this type of car though would be useful on long runs, but no reversing sensors on a car with poor rear visibility seems crazy! Probably why it hasn't sold.

As you state, the lack of leather dash and parking sensors will really affect that cars value.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

The interior of the 4c is at best "functional" if you can find a car with the leather dash and carbon instrument binnacle it does really help to lift it. I've wondered a few times about having a trimmer make some matching leather panels for the door cards, I wonder how expensive it would be to have a decent trim shop make a leather dash?

I had a look into matching my door cards to the leather dash. It would be around £1000 inc VAT to have them done. This does not include removal and refitting (i would do that myself!).The interior of the 4c is at best "functional" if you can find a car with the leather dash and carbon instrument binnacle it does really help to lift it. With the dashboard it's more tricky. I know someone who enquired with Alfa Romeo about having a 4C leather dash fitted. They told him it would have to go back to the factory in Italy to be done!
I think part of the problem is the air vents are bonded in place once they have been fitted. I enquired about the Carbon fibre air vents for my 4C but was told they cannot be retrofitted and they are a factory fit option only!
The door cards sound about right, I think they really improve the interior, I'll have a word with my local trimmer in the new year.
The dash does look more difficult but I can't believe a good trimmer couldn't do the job without the need for a visit to the factory. I wouldn't believe anything that anyone working for Alfa Romeo U.K. Told me to be honest..
Glad you're pleased with your mirrors!

Yes love the mirrors thank you, they are really easy to fit too. To be honest it was Alfa Romeo Technical (TESEO) that said it would need to go back to Italy, but as you said any good trimmer would be able to do it. Just dread the cost! Interesting to read the first post in this thread , he had seen several advertised at around 30k , seems prices have firmed a lot in 6 months and especially good to see when prices of many other cars are dropping at an alarming rate
There has only ever been a couple of cars at 30K. The one with 32K miles and one that was a repaired accident cat S car.Market is pretty firm for the 4C at the moment. You very much buy these cars based on spec and not on the mileage or age from what I have been seeing over the last few months.

I would agree that mileage shouldn't be to much of an issue as they seem to get better the more they are driven and Ive not had any reliability issues

Any car showrooms etc nearby?
