Thinking of possibly moving mine on.
Absolutely love it, but I really could do with something with more room now.
Tend to go out as a family in either the wife’s Vitara or my Navara.
Want something nicer to use.

Have found a lovely Giulia QV at Alexander’s Prestige.

Have asked for a trade in value....
I’m sitting down.
I gave up on selling ours. We had offer from £28k up to £35k ( launch Edition 11k miles mint ) against and £90k Ferrari. Most were coming in at £32k. Then you look at what they’re advertised for is a massive mark up. Just seems like car sales people want their cake and eat it at the moment.

My friend, who i trust to be 'in the know' about these matters seems to believe that most of the 4Cs are being sold on sale or return. I think it is worth putting in a cheeky offer to a lot of these - around the 35K mark. You may just be surprised.

Racing pack or Standard (but spec'd with racing exhaust and 18/19s) - any effect on prices?
Not really to be honest.

The racing suspension does have different shocks and roll bars but for use on the road there isn't much in it.

For track work, the racing suspension would be more desirable.

Most are not sale or return actually. I would say 30% of them are.

I don't doubt that some cars could be bought for 35K however.

I bid Sytner £36 on that yellow car with 800 miles. They weren’t interested.

With a 4C Spider - does it being a 50th Anniversary Edition really make much difference to the price?

It shouldn’t really as it was just a marketing exercise. However they are full loaded with nearly every optional extra. So they should be at the highest end of the spider market.

You can find an equally loaded spider which is effectively the same car but without the Alfa UK Anniversary badge fixed to the centre console.

Have you tried putting it up on Tootle. I got a decent trade bid on mine through the site. There's no fee's so worth a shot.

I'm definitely seeing a more relaxed approach to the bolt tightening service by the way. I've not seen any cars with bolts out of spec from the dealers I have spoken to. I do believe this can be relaxed to a 4 years check for cars with lower mileage use.
Does this come from Alfa ? Ive always been told not servicing properly invalidates the warranty and also I cant see Alfa taking the work away from the dealers as £900 services must be good for them
?

Sorry missed this.

No it comes from a couple of the 4C techs I've spoken to. There is no official word on this from Alfa.

Hi Joe. I gave you a call today and left you a message about the 4c. I’m taking it down next Saturday to trade it in so if it’s something you’re interested in let me know and we can go from there thanks

Assume the dealers happy for you to sell it, he may have factored profit on the 4c into the deal, worth checking

That being the case I'd walk away as I'd be expecting some more money off for a 'cash' sale/outright purchase if not at least what was agreed.

I’ve called some dealers on behalf of a pal looking for bids on a one owner 17 plate coupe. Sub 3k miles. Total spec plus Alfa Works geo mods. Bids around £35-£37 with many dealers keen to take on sale or return.

I’d have thought given spec and mileage someone looking for a private sale would pay £40-£41?

Has anyone bought privately?

From experience i'd say those bids sound about right. There seem to be very few buyers at this price point, probably due to lack of credit facilities.
