What's up with the cars with Quadrifoglio badges on the fenders? Were these an option or something people have just stuck on?

Only thing I’ve added is the OE Italian flag badge. The car is beautiful as it is - don’t get it!

The Quad badges are just stuck on by some owners. Really I feel the 4C should have had them from new but hey ho. They did originally want to do an even hotter version but that was canned.

Very late joining this thread, been a fascinating read and timely as I begin to look for a 4C. Really has helped me get up to speed on a car I previously knew little about and diverted me away from an Evora purchase in the process.

Think I've narrowed down my want to a Spider with leather dash.

So now the search begins and I'll keep glued to these pages.

Thanks again

Woolietaff, I remember you buying the white FX50 over on the thread I started on here several years ago!
Great choice in the 4c, the Spider is a fantastic car!

Why do yellow calipers look so good on red cars?

Interesting review of the market from some chap who analyses the sales. OK it's EU based but the future overall looks good.

Now that’s a good memory! And I thought your user name looked familiar.

I did, loved it and lost no money over my year of ownership.

As ever this is a great place to get advice and insight.

Am scouting the ads.....

Really interesting thread as I have set my sights on one of these , but sadly in a few years time , as want to clear the mortgage and then be a free spirit to get one. Given me a good insight into the options that make the car , like the leather dash and tweeks for making it a little better. Thinking this is the car for touring Scotland, lakes and Wales when I clear the mortgage. Just sold the Westfield , which is too raw for touring and the Elise never did much for me, that I owned, so hopefully this will give me a sense of occasion when we use it. I am only halfway through this thread , so still plenty more to read up on, so keep it up people !

Well if it’s touring for yourself - you are fine. If a wife is involved - you are not.

Leather dash is necessary, cruise, parking sensors, air con, some splashes of carbon.

Alfaworks will sort you onto the intermediate set up for £500 and sort all your handling issues.
They will also do an exhaust for you, so you don’t need to care about getting a car with a normal or sports exhaust.

That’s about it.

Most people I've spoken to prefer the sports exhaust. For resale an aftermarket exhaust isn't so desirable.

The missus takes less clothing and shoes than me . We have managed 5 days at Le Mans in a Westie for our honeymoon, but that was an age ago now , so we can manage . We took a tent and sleeping bags with us as well. Having done camping with the Elise , which seemed tighter, especially when braking and a shoe comes out from behind the seat smile
We were going to look at a local car to see what they are like in the flesh at a dealer. My westie leaves me on Sunday for its new home. So, have space but really need to focus on getting rid of the mortgage etc 'before' going for it, although the wifes been looking at a loan cost this week for a car !! She hasnt read this thread ( I am half way through it currently) so, watching soft top values means if they do make a leap up, it may happen sooner than planned.

I’m going to try one of these for a weekend away with the missus soon.

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2...

Just went for a blast and a swift half. Came out to find two seventy year old ladies requesting photos and the chance to sit in it. Never known a car that attracts so much attention from all ages. I guess it’s as beautiful and exotic as a Ferrari but doesn’t have the unattainable vibe about it. It doesn’t say I’ve got considerably more money than you.

No, it’s not that. It’s the Alfa-not-a-Ferrari-therefore-not-a-tt vibe it puts out.

I looked at that as an extra luggage option for a road trip and thought it would work but decided to opt out of the 4C and get something with a bit more luggage space or so I told the wife!
My 50th Anniversary will be going through the auction I understand in the next few weeks as it's a lease car, going to massively miss it after 8.5k miles and 22 months but it's too small and noisy to use for touring which is what we will be doing more of next year.

I noticed a black coupe is coming up for auction next week at BCA, reg EX16 AEO. Assume a lease vehicle come to the end of its term, wondered if anyone here had come across the car?

I know this car. It was here in Essex for a while. I know the first owner. I also have the full spec of it. smile

Wasn't leased as far as I'm aware.

Thanks for the background on this car, unfortunately it was graded 3 by BCA due to a number of issues with the bodywork. Would be interesting to know what it went for if anyone has access to a trader account at BCA.

Moving on, what about this then? Seems to based on a 40k KM mule....... looks rather dashing.
