Unless there’s one I’ve missed (in which case please add this to it) - shall we keep modifications here rather than cluttering the other thread?

Just back from Alfaworks having had the intermediate geometry mod carried out.
Well, what a transformation!

As soon as I drove off from the workshop I could tell the difference.
The drive to them this morning particularly the A1189 (?) was a bit hairy - that road was pulling me all over the place, far more than the roads where I live and they’re bad!

On the way home along the same road, it was like it’s just been resurfaced in comparison.
I drove up the A1 with so little tugging I can now drive with one hand whilst sipping a coffee with the other - means I can now utilise the ergonomically placed cup holders..
(I found it easier to grab the cup with my right hand than my left!)

Pulled off the A1 and took a wonderful back road towards Melton - not sure of its number but it’s one of those roads that flows into and out of bends, and the car was an absolute revelation - very much reminds me now of how my Exige’s were.

Over particularly rough surfaced roads it seems to not be as ‘clunky’ and rattley if you know what I mean.

Well worth the money.

Agreed! Makes the world of difference.

Now you need their remap...transforms the cars mid to top end, mine pulls much better than the standard map and I’m really pleased with the performance- couldn’t ask for more tbh

Does their remap cure the 3rd to 4th gear flat spot?
Have noticed it when pushing on, high revs.
I also assume it invalidates the factory warranty?

I’ve got the one sports exhaust and don’t have a problem with the noise.
Doesn’t seem to have the often noted resonance.

The resonance is 75-89mph under cruise. You can dampen it by resting your right foot on the floor of the car which the cruise control on.

Out in the car today and whilst the geo is brilliant, it’s developed a very loud squeaking / rubbing from the front suspension.

First started on slow parking manoeuvres but by the end of my journey I could hear it over the engine even at 30-40 mph!

Something not quite right....

Sorry to hear that, I seem to recall that Some 4c's suffered with creaking front suspension that was actually due to faulty wishbones, not sure if that helps?

I've been out for an hour in nine this afternoon for a good drive-the first since Alfaworks had it to fit their mods. I have to say I'm very impressed too, 80% of the nervousness has been dialed out but the steering remains pin sharp. Well worth the money!

I'm hoping the noise is just something catching from the geo mod and is an easy fix.
Have sent a video of the noise to Jamie so will see what he says.

4 hr round trip though...!

I've had both wishbones done on mine for the same creaking/squeaking noise - drivers side 1 year ago, passenger side just before Christmas.
Steering was noticeably lighter after the wishbones we replaced.

Annoyingly I need to get Jamie to re-align the front as it looks like the dealer has c0cked around with the settings. mad

Going back to Jamie’s on Friday for them to have a look.
If it is the wishbones would this be a warranty item?
Even though I’ve had the geo mod carried out ..?

Mmm, good question.
I'm sure I've read somewhere that AR have replaced front wishbones on a car with the AW mod without any issues with the warranty.
Hope you get this sorted without too much trouble, a 4 hour round trip is a fair distance..

On a different note, I drove mine for the first time with the roof on at the weekend, the head unit was struggling to play music at a level I could hear..
I know that Some have replaced the head unit but my personal preference would be to keep it looking stock but to maybe add some amplification and/or a speaker upgrade. Has anyone on here done this?

Jamie had done the road set up on mine and it was night and day!
so far ive had that and full car PPF with a few other little protection bits added wheels etc

I now have a list of the mods want to fit in time (and when I have the dosh),
The Ecu upgrade, Black Titanium wheel bolts to match the black rims, carbon fibre additions to the interior and the exterior(have the carbon fibre roof with the spider and the black plastic door triangles bug me! and that CF spoiler is a must!) and Pilot sport tires.
I have the Halo9 unit to fit as well when I get the time.

Wouldn’t mind the small CF rear spoiler but it seems to be stupidly expensive!

The centre console in CF would be lovely too.

I recently replaced the instrument binnacle with a carbon one, agreed on the center console, out of interest how much is the rear spoiler?

Btw, If anyone is looking for some genuine AR Carbon wing mirror covers I have some.

The Spider one is around £400 but can’t seem to find the coupe version.
Centre console is around £850 - both Alfa works

I made a few little changes to the interior to brighten it up a bit.

Added the Koshi carbon steering wheel insert and Italian flag and then added some carbon fibre button covers too.

That looks rather nice, I especially like the carbon insert on the wheel. Could I ask where the button covers came from?
