Had a test drive today and really enjoyed the car. Couple minor niggles in that the screen is very reflective and the lovely green and white stitching is perfectly in your eyeline. It’s very hard to gauge a car on an assisted test drive I think. BMW will let me have any m car for days on end to help a decision. As far a deals the car wasn’t subject to much discount but I expect that’s the dealership. The mention of a 10% Brexit price rise is a worry so I’m going to hang fire until that settles. It was also said deposit would be lost if I backed out because of the rise! Anyone else had this? I went to BMW and asked them, they said that wouldn’t happen on a new order with them. Despite them importing the car also. If there were anything ever to change an agreement on their part they would fully return any deposit.
Order with different colour stitching. Problem solved.AR don't need to flog the sh.it out of deals to sell quads, its a better product than the competition so don't need to cut a comparative deal. in the Giulia range quads sell comparatively well volume wise. where they fail is finance on the non quads. they sell comparatively poorly as they are meant to be the volume sellers. Having competitive fiance on them is essential, but AR apparently are not.
i hope AR stick to their guns and don't sink to match the Germans on the quad, it keeps residuals higher for us owners and keeps them rarer. yes there will be whinging threads about not being able to get a comparative deal with an m3 or whatever, but if people cant or wont pay the going rate, so be it, don't whinge. If people really want to get in one, they will find a way.

Out of interest, what spec are you looking for?
One that not many would choose! Will be triple layer white with carbon seats, silver wheels. But also want apple play and the split rear seats.I had an ex-demo blue one for 6months this year to see if I liked it before ordering new.

Has anyone seen the offers for the QV on mangoletsi?
They seem to have interesting terms and payment plans v other Alfa dealers. For example, £799 pm with a £1999 deposit, or £69 deposit with monthly payment of £899. I've never seen these kind of terms offered from any other dealer
More dealers should work their figures bespoke with low deposits like this rather than the generic manufacturer 20%+ offer normally advertisedThey seem to have interesting terms and payment plans v other Alfa dealers. I was more than happy with the 16% FCA discount. A fully optioned up QF for 60K sounds good value to me. If I were to sell in a couple of years time and only get 40 for it, I can live with the 10K a year loss for the experience.
I am hoping that the 5yr warranty now on the cars will help strengthen residuals on used cars. I think it will add a lot of peace of mind on a two or three year old car.
That being said, I may love the car so much I keep it for a decade in which case the maximum depreciation per year will be around 5K - bargain.

Be very careful with Mangoletsi. My recent experience reveals that, at least, one of their sales staff has problems establishing the difference between fantasy and reality! They seem to have interesting terms and payment plans v other Alfa dealers.
