Not driven one but I’m sure the Veloce is an excellent car. As a Quad owner I can’t believe a Veloce would be more enjoyable more of the time unless you would get frustrated by knowing you’re not using the car’s potential. The DNA gives the Quad a huge range of performance and the electronic diff should mean superior traction more of the time - not sure if you can spec the same diff on the Veloce

That is sort of what I mean. I might find it frustrating not be able to use the car anywhere near its potential. Not that the Veloce is more capable in any situation but that it is definitely easier to approach the limits of the engine.

I loved my Veloce, had it for 2 years nothing tops it for ride , handling and steering feel.
Currently have a new c43 and really miss the veloce .
Test drove the Quadrifoglio but couldn’t see the benefit as a daily driver.
Similar to this, I've had my Veloce for about 18 months and it's great. No major problems and it does everything I need it to. Couldn't justify the Q for a daily

Anyone tried the Veloce with the Performance pack inc LSD? I've been looking at adverts and its rarely mentioned, but I don't know if thats because the dealers don't know it's equipped, or it was just a rare option?
I have the performance pack on mine (denoted by the Q2 badge on the boot). Love the LSD, you can really tell it's there and the ability to soften the suspension when in 'D'.

Just for clarity the performance pack gives you harder suspension in D, with the option to soften it. Without the pack it stays ‘soft’ in D.

But would you swap back to the Alfa the C43 has a great soundtrack !

Yes sound aside and interior ambience veloce much more connected driving experience.
Will get bored of the c43 and likely go back to the facelift Giulia !

I guess so, as it won't have the variable dampers. You can actually tell the difference too

Had another looked this evening through the Veloce adverts on AT and PH, and only found one car with it fitted. I suppose it was a £2k option so not exactly cheap.

Bear in mind it pushed the list over 40k which banged up the tax.
Also the policy on Lease costs from Leasys who have most of the Giulia’s on their books is to divide up the cost of options by the number of payments and stick it on the rental figure. This discourages any options.
PCP’s tended not to do that, but seemed to be more expensive in the first place.

The Veloce does not need this option, money wasted. The set up as standard is near on perfect.

Yeah I'd agree with that. I drove a standard one once and it was just perfect. There is a lot to be said for a car which doesn't need to be messed around with and just feels right.

Agree with the standard set up, it’s spot on.
My C43 has adaptive which means no single set up is ideal.
However I would like to see Alfa offer the lsd as a stand alone option that would make it even better.
Veloce also rides better on the standard 18 inch rims compared to optional 19.

I toyed with getting the Veloce, but ended up opting for the Quad. I always felt that the Veloce would feel like the 'booby prize'. I do not regret getting the Quad at all - as someone else said - in 'A' its like any BMW / Merc etc, but in Normal and more so in Dynamic it goes like stink. As a daily, it's very useable!

I guess what I'm trying to say is: Get a quad.

I'm not fussed about the adaptive dampers (most of those setups are just maintenance money pits TBH) but personally I would want a LSD on a car with almost 300bhp through the rears. But that's me.

I've got a Veloce and love it.

However every time i spot a Quad, i wish i'd stretched a bit for one, lovely things, undoubtedly a class apart from the Veloce.

Both great, but if you can afford the Quad, do it.

Nah.. the booby prize is an A4, the Veloce is a well deserved second place award.
