Hi all,

I have a set of Fiat Coupe 16/20v alloys 205/55/15 and a pair of headlights going free to a good home. Having a garage clear out.

Collection only near Sheffield.

Cheers

Mike

What condition are the headlamps in? I could do with a pair to refurb, as one of mine has gone a bit cloudy

I'll try and PM you some photos later. They would be a perfect pair for a refurb.

No, not really - there are so few Coupes left on the road that demand is extremely low and the number of scrapped Coupes means that there's loads of secondhand parts around

I still keep a small stock of stuff in case anyone needs something difficult to find, but it's only very occasional now

Still debating whether to sell mine - It doesn't get used much, but when I drive it, I remember why I liked it so much - such a buzz, but it's just too fast for the busy roads

We've still got both the Mooners, my CarlT Special lives in the garage under a cover and only comes out very rarely, I don't know why, I guess it's a faff to get it out and on the road. It still looks 99% as good as when he did it all those years ago. I do keep thinking of selling too, can't decide, I think I would end being extremely fussy about who it went to! I'm also on the verge of adding yet another car to the fleet, something a bit special, which will push the Coupe even further down the usage order, so, who knows!

Sadly most of them continue going this way as they are worthless. No.2 of 3 i'm scrapping right now, advertise them for parts and no-one is interested.

Isn't this how cars such as the 205GTi and Renault 5GT Turbo become worth £20k one day? I can see people restoring basket cases on Youtube in 15 years time and people watching thinking "I scrapped better cars than than"

The Coupe will never fall into that category as sadly it isn't a very good car. It's also the type of car which will always be more worthless the older it gets despite people trying to prove otherwise.
The suspension design is appalling and the styling divisive.
It must be the only Fiat which has gained some kind of recognition since the 131, but what is it actually good at? Going pretty quickly in a straight line from 2nd or third gear onwards is about all it does well and if it's standard there are lots of other cars which do it much better.

Then there is the question of what will happen to fossil cars in the near future anyhow.....
