Just watched that and loved it!

I think Chris has the answer for the OP.......just buy the 8V and you're set for happy nostalgic motoring!

My 16V has a 240bhp chip, BC coilovers and other chassis stiffening equipment/bushes. Absolutely intoxicating to drive. Yes it's crashy on crappy roads, so I avoid them where possible. Pootles along at a steady pace quite happily, but comes alive when pressed on. I can literally chuck it into any corner without worrying too much about the speed, next best thing to a go kart. Still pretty quick by todays' standards IMO! Loud exhaust fitted last year has definitely made me use it more.

Did 90 miles hooning this weekend, enjoyed every mile. Wouldn't have wanted to be in any other car. Tbh, sometimes the creaks and rattles annoy me a little, but once up to speed I couldn't care a less biggrin

There will be many more tips I'm sure, but in terms of corrosion look at the back of the roof and screen surround for starters.

Please have it inspected by someone that knows them well! (Assuming you are not an expert, apologies if you are!)

Thanks for the replies and information.
I'm no expert on Lancia's but a mechanic to trade helps. And handy with a mig welder which may come in handy!
going to view it on the 28th, I will keep the thread posted!

Great car and an absolute icon, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it for many years to come.

I lost total interest in Rallying after the retirement of the Delta.

Looks fantastico, keep us all updated with how you get on with it.

If you haven`t already Id suggest joining the Evocorner forum it has alot of very knowledgeable people on it, also the search function goes back years, so no matter what problem the car throws up it`ll be in the FAQs section.

Yellow Evo 2? Probably me.

Always enjoy having random interactions like the cab driver who literally stopped in the middle of the road to wind the window down and chat.

Or the E30 M3 Evo driver on the M25 who appeared to have a fit as we passed each other like a rare celestial event.

Or the small boys who have never seen one and possibly don't know what it is, but stop and stare open mouthed as it goes by, because they just get it.
