How wealthy do you have to be to actually run a Giulia QV?

Always looked at a used one of these as a "maybe one day" car, and with my current car possibly being changed in July (PCP), and electric cars becoming more and more prevalent, part of me is thinking bugger it and get one.
However, my head is saying that it would be too much of a risk and I should just keep what I have (7.5 Golf GTI) or go for a Veloce - but I have a horrible feeling that the Veloce would leave me always thinking that I should have waited and sprung for a QV.
So realistically, how much does it cost to run one of the full-fat Giulias?

Averaging 20mpg no matter how I drive, and it prefers super unleaded as you can imagine.
Insurance seems to he cheaper on the MY20+, maybe because of standard driver aids. I pay £620/yr at 39 with 14 yrs NCB.
Full set of Goodyears or Michelin PS4S can usually be had for around £750 ... Cheaper if you hit the right time on Blackcircles / Costco etc. OEM Corsas are about £900.
Servicing can be bought as a pack from Alfa, £649 covers 3 services, at 9k intervals.
From memory I think they're usually go in order of £250ish, £400, £250 then the big £1300 one at 36k.
Other consumables are par for the course, ie brakes.
Not sure about warranties as I've bought new, but there was a time Alfa were offering 5 years warranty and 3 years servicing ... Probably around 2018/19 I think.
If you're looking at new, move quickly and speak to some dealers, Beechdale in Derby and Research in Nuneaton being two of the best.
Prices for new have just increased by over £2k. The affinity discount scheme has reduced it's discount by a few %, and you can hardly spec anything on them now. They also no longer have the alcantara seats.
Just come in though, so any stock cars should be better spec'd.

If it helps I've also had a Veloce ...
Not really in the same league performance wise, the QV is a beast that'll break traction on low throttle in reverse as I found out tonight.
The DNA is still very much there though in the way it rides, handles and feels. It's just quite a lot more understated.
Poor economy as well unfortunately in my experience (others will differ) - I never saw above 30mpg.

Thanks all. It's the maintenance part that is holding me back, not so much fuel.
If you buy a used car, presumably it could be out of warranty and not have had a service plan. Surely these can't be bought back into?
Otherwise, I've looked at the service booking form and you seem to have to select what your car needs. What is the breakdown for each service, can anyone tell me?

To answer your question re: servicing, I've been looking at a lot of Youtube vids on the QV and this chap managed to get some sort of deal with the dealer on a servicing pack on a used car which may be of interest: https://youtu.be/8fj7ZF2X4Tg

Best warranty seems to be with Motoreasy they provide a specific QV warranty. Not sure on prices.

Maybe was a special offer at the time, but I’m sure it was passed on to next owner, so worth checking if there’s a used window for cars with 5yr packs.

Probably worth any buyer checking this. I got mine while this was offered but as a lease car it was excluded. I have no idea whether this affects ability to get into warranties/ service packs after the lease ends.5 years warranty

It’s not cheap but not ridiculous…
If it’s under warranty you will need to budget for high fuel use, a set of tyres (the standard Pirellis might be good on the ‘ring on a perfect day but they useless anywhere else). Brakes are very expensive and serpentine belt replacement is a major job. But is a very high performance car, the likes of which will probably never be built again…at least that’s what I told myself!!!
My warranty is up soon which is a bit daunting but to be fair, after fixing a couple of niggles upon delivery, it’s been faultlessly reliable so far….

If the car is under 3 years old the warranty costs £463 per year.
Compared to say BMW M extended warranty it’s very cheap.
Service plans are also ‘cheap’ - 2 year plan is £449 and a 3 year plan is £649, and bearing in mind the 4th year service cost is around £1300….
Mine (Stelvio QV) will be 3 years old in July, so will buy the extended warranty and the 2 year service pack.
