Let's see your Alfa Romeos!
Discussion
That is what a Alfa can do to you. Make you go on a long trip just for the love of driving it.
I blummin' love this car - what a fantastic drive.
Got it in July, and immediately drove from the midlands to Annacy France and Geneva - sublime!
This is my current love affair

Superb!
I can’t ever remember seeing one on the road, a future classic for sure!
Slightly biased should get mine at the end of November
I've only seen two so far, although one of them lives around the corner so I'm not sure it counts.I can’t ever remember seeing one on the road, a future classic for sure!

Be careful with the Corsas, they're quite terrible when they or the road are cold and/or wet.

Great to see you are still wheeling that 75 around. Have fond memories of my old red one you had from me.
Hello Dave, been a long time, what are you up to these days?I still have a surprising percentage of good old Jak although the car itself never recovered from being rear ended in traffic. Bits still live on in my attic and on the current one though. The engine was built up as a race unit and went on to win five historic touring car championships in Thailand of all places.
Here's possibly the last photo of Jak in action, it had 180k on the clock in the end.
As of today I’m the proud owner of a 2020 Giulia Veloce Ti. My first Alfa and it’s a truly lovely thing with 21K miles. Sooo much more interesting than any of the alternative German boxes. I’ve been an avid lurker here and on the AROC site so knew what quirks to expect.
A couple of minor niggles from the dealer - a gouge out of the O/S front alloy which they failed to mention before delivery and despite promising to put 2 new Michelin sports on the rear they’ve used cheap Runway Enduros. But provided those niggles can be sorted swiftly I can’t wait to get out properly in it later this week!

Very nice. You didn’t buy it from Mangoletsi by any chance? Sounds about right for their attitude to used car prep. Bought a Giulietta Speciale from them three years ago and none of the things they agreed to do before handover had been done. Two worn tyres on the front not replaced, and they only wanted to put Nexen ditchfinders on it, alloy scuff not sorted, compound mud still inside from when I test drove it. It even ran out of washer fluid on the way home. Not sure it had seen the service department after they bought it.A couple of minor niggles from the dealer - a gouge out of the O/S front alloy which they failed to mention before delivery and despite promising to put 2 new Michelin sports on the rear they’ve used cheap Runway Enduros. Nah, Sturgess of Leicester, but I’m only namechecking them as they have been decent in sorting a cash payment to the value of two decent new rear tyres and also to get the alloys refurbed. I do think there’s been a general drop in attitude to all customer service post-Covid though. And I’ve just discovered the lighting on the passenger sill doesn’t work. Minor, but looks like a dealer fix under warranty, and there seems to be a dearth of decent Alfa dealers in Yorkshire…

Great to hear that Jak lived on in spirit - and sounds like the engine certainly had a new lease of life. I've been without Alfas for a long time now - but would love to get another .
Thank for sharing the photo - brings back good memories.
All the best
Dave
