My tarted up engine bay, an acquired taste!

Nice plenum design compared to the original, 1st cyl have a similar entry to 2-6.
Did you notice a difference in driving it..?
I'm still learning it but slightly more torque is what I'd say

My South African import 2000 GTV in Grigio Chiaro ... I am very fond of this car... Took my 4 year old out in it this morning just to pop to the shop and he grinned at me and said 'This is the most fun ever'... Doing my little bit to create the next generation of Alfa enthusiasts :-)

That’s a lovely 2000…..

Meant to upload these at the time but a rare view under the bonnet of my 4C whilst in for PPF. Now out the garage ready for our 3 days of warm weather biggrin

During a moment of weakness I bought this orphan having sat on the owners barn since 2008. All books, two keys and 72k miles from new.

It needs work that is for sure but it will pass an MOT in current state I think. Front inner wings will need a bit of welding at some point.

The seller put fresh petrol in the car plus new battery and the car started after half a dozen attempts. Mechanically it sounds fine. Need to do a drains up service though.

I bought it as a project for my 17 year old son. He loves the classics and this will keep him busy over the summer.

Gave my Alfa a wash the other day and replaced the OEM silver "Giulietta" badge with a black one.

Need to service it soon. Doesn't look that bad in the pictures but the wheels are in awful condition.

This is wonderful. I'd love to find something like that one day. Congratulations.

Please do a thread on it!

My Italian mistress got a bath today. Been away, dirty, since our Midlands trip in December.

Started first time as usual smile

Must admit I’ve a habit of doing that with mine, the fuel gauge is least reliable piece of kit on the car!

I've done it once in mine - on the way to the garage where we have an account (I passed a couple of others on the way). I discovered that the fuel gauge actually has a fuel warning light, but in my case it's a "you're fked" light, as about 10 seconds after it came on I sputtered to a halt.

Hi Dink, hope you are well.

I ran a few 147’ company cars when I worked for Alfa, mostly ‘just’ the 1.6 Lusso variant (did have a couple of 2.0 iirc) and I absolutely loved them. Lovely interiors and the engine/chassis setup was fantastic too.

Fond memories.

Alfatex interior and wooden steering here: summer tyres are 17", mildly refreshed engine, lots of welded and rustrproof bodyparts, keeper this.

The 916 is a keeper too. It behaved https://albertmensingacreative.nl/916-2/
