The SZ was a fun 100 mile drive home, pouring rain, no heaters (fan broken) & old tyres!
Engine felt strong but many areas need addressing, ive has loads of Alfas & always lusted after an SZ even if just to look at!
Will get some proper use after it's been worked on.
You will quickly get used to phones being whipped out as you pass down the street and once parked up, returning to it to find people posing by it taking selfies. Garage forecourts are a hotspot for strangers approaching you either asking what on earth is it, or they know what it is but have never seen one in the flesh. In extreme cases, people will stop in the middle of road to have a look and a quick chat. All the above happened regularly. I used mine as a daily driver - did the school run it (only one child luckily), weekly shopping trips etc. It made the most mundane journey a joy.Engine felt strong but many areas need addressing, ive has loads of Alfas & always lusted after an SZ even if just to look at!

I felt like a minor celeb when I was out in mine. I don't like being the centre of attention but it made me really happy to see how other people took to it so readily. They look nothing other than amazing and the drive is incredible, the grip is unreal.
I hope you enjoy every minute of ownership.

Well done! I was watching this as I'm planning on getting back into an SZ in the next year.velocemitch said:
Still the best looking car on the market.
But as far as I know they have extended production for another two years, so unless it s only LHD ones, it may not be one of the last!
Seems you were correct, they will restart production of the V6 next year and continue into 2027. The other Giulia models will continue uninteruped. But as far as I know they have extended production for another two years, so unless it s only LHD ones, it may not be one of the last!
Love the new special limited edition https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
Maybe I should have waited!
Totally normal IMO. Its not Porsche GT4 magic but if you've driven an E92 M3, the new M2 or a 135i, thats it.
Its the same ZF box.
In everyday driving I just think its much more fun and involving, like most manuals.
There really hasnt been many press reports on shift quality in english, obviously, its basically that Chris Harris early testdrive, where he exclaimed "the shift quality is a bit rubbery" and I can only put it down to british Stiff-Upper-Lip since it wasn't going to be sold in RHD. "We don't care for it anyway".
Its a weak theory but its the only one I've got!
Other take-aways:

Other take-aways:
- Much like Bmw's Sportmode, the N and A drive modes makes for more harmonic shifts than the frantic throttle response in D and Race.
- OEM gearknob is slightly large, smaller is a great upgrade.
- Auto-blipping on downshifts in D and Race, much like Cayman GT4 etc.
- NLS (no lift shift) in D and Race. Mash throttle pedal jammed to the floor & just use the clutch pedal in shifting, the software cuts ignition. Super fast shifts and great fun once you get the hang of it! NLS isn't even mentioned in the owners handbook. Very Alfa!
Without it, there is a slight revhang (emissions etc?) of 0.2sec or so, on throttle release. Not noticable in normal driving, but on a trackday it would drive you mad - it sounds like you forgot how to shift - so for trackdays you'll use NLS.

Not as exciting as most cars here, but just bought this for my son as his first car .loving bombing around in it myself.
0.9 litres of fun!
Quick question if any other Mito owners are reading this thread how have you upgraded the sound system to bring it up to date?

You can get cheaper ones but the they cause the flashing odometer issue
Brings back memories..
My 75 3.0V6 the year before I bought it, parked next to my Fiat Coupe 20VT.
Here in Scandinavia the 75 was never perceived as an "ugly car" - maybe because we never got the UK-only Veloce kit.
The 75 & 90 was rather the left-field, upper class alternative to Bmw 3-series.

She just plugged in a blutooth/USB thing that your phone links to and sends a radio signal to the radio. Works quite well but I suspect the speakers could be upgraded a bit...
