In case you missed it, Harry Metcalfe on the 037 and Volumex.

Luckily enough I saw an 037 being given the beans at the Bicester show a couple of months ago.

And a few weeks ago a black Volumex passed me in NW London.

Very nice, I had an 2000HF on my wish list but went for a Zagato; As a kid I remember seeing one and had never seen anything like it. I saw it again on Harry’s garage and had to have one (mine is only 1.3s though).

The Zagato version of the Fulvia is very cool - one of Zagato's best works I think. I really like sporty cars with small engines - a good 1.3 engine can be a blast.

My HF needs some welding and paint, mainly on one side (I wonder if it was parked by a hedge), and new rear brakes, but seems mostly OK.

Rust is always a worry with an old Lancia is rust. Luckily mine seems to be solid, that’s why I bought it. Time will tell. scratchchin

Loving the Fulvia six months in. A Fun drive. Thought is was so small and compact. Till I got an Elise to sit next to it!

Strewth, you’re not kidding. I’m not sure I would fit in an Elise. If I did I would definitely need to be pulled out! 2 different cars and both quite wonderful.

Oliver’s Dad, love the Zagato in white. Regarding the rust, there is a rubber strip between the front inner and out wings. Can cause trouble and the wisdom used to be to remove it. I forget what was done instead to seal the gap.
I expect you already know this!

I see you have the HF version BV. Nice. A very dignified looking car without doubt. I am thinking of another Fulvia at some stage but the extra room of the Flavia appeals. A true Lancia before the takeover!

Thanks for the info I didn’t know about the strip, is the rubber strip top, bottom, front or rear of the front wings?

The Prisma has been sitting out the covid crisis.
My daughter finds it hard to drive (forgot how easy an instructor's diesel mini is to stop, start and steer compared to cars that are stall-able, and three hundred no power assisted turns lock to lock).
Anyway, so with my other classic being histiric and therefore free to tax, the Prisma has sat.
Anyway, I have mot'd and taxed it for May. Just needed new horns for mot (£7.95 for horns, £19.99 for mot at Mr Clutch).

Also contemporary advert from internet with 3 Series BMW....all the reasons why the 3 series took over from Alfa Romeo/Lancia.
