(That's owners of unusual hot hatches - not the other way around)

Do you have a hot hatch that's just that little bit different? Does your hatch-backed pride and joy enjoy a certain amount of 'underdog' kudos?

If so, we need you!

Our own PH Fleet Seat Leon Cupra R is a bit of a 'forgotten' hatch with other hot hatches stealign most of hte lime light, but its immense power makes it rather a hoot, so we want it to meet up with other hatches that are often overlooked.

So if you've got something like a Skoda Octavia vRS, an Alfa 147 GTA, an MG ZS, Rover 200 BRM or maybe even a Proton Satria GTi, and you want its praises sung, let us know!

E-mail me on riggers@pistonheads.com if you've got a forgotten hot hatch gem you think we should feature.

Why? Because 205 GTis, Golfs, Clios and Focus RSs get all the accolades - and it just isn't fair!

Oh, and your fast hatch doesn't have to be modern - as the commercial radio stations might say, we're looking for the best mix of 80s, 90s and now...

Great, great call. Actually, if people just want to throw in suggestions, too, that'd be grand (not as good as actual cars, mind, but good all the same smile

Wait, the Octavia and ZS are hatches? Have I completely misunderstood that term?

Peugeot 309 GTI should be on the list, as well as the Honda Civic VTI of the early 90s onwards.

I meant the five-door ZS, but IIRC the Octavia is a hatch?

Yeah it is, don't mind me. I'm confusing myself. Must be time for my medication!

90's Corolla GTI. 129bhp from a 1.6 in 1991 was quite something.

Nissan Pulsar? Or is that more 'mad dog' than 'underdog'?

Does anyone still even own a Visa GTi? Or have they all rusted away?
My mother had one, which decided to take the term "internal combustion" to a different level.

That was going to be my suggestion too. Same 1.6 engine as the 205Gti.

130i. Hot Hatch, no one likes it except the people that own them, who adore them.

I don't have one but maybe an FIAT Abarth Grande Punto could come along if someone has one?

Would be even better if you got a 'Punto Evo' Abarth there aswell.

Cupra looks great by the Riggers.

Alfa 145 Cloverleaf?

Mine may be slightly too 'non-standard' though...but they're real fun cars!
