I regularly work at a local tourist attraction that has bridle ways running through it, and I'm getting fed up of having to dodge tons of horse st.

I always see kids getting it on shoes, and refuse to take our kids there, which is a shame, as it's a nice place, I've also read reviews of the place online, and this problem is mentioned quite a few times.

As a dog owner, I would be fined if I didn't clean up after him, so why do horse owners get away with it?

Yes I know, crap rant, not enough swearing ect...

dog st is nasty and contains all sorts of bugs, horse st is much more benign IIRC.

I've just looked at my posting history, and your right.

I'm turning into my father, is there any hope for me, or am I doomed to turn into a grumpy middle aged Victor Meldrew?

Dog st is nasty bug ridden stuff, horse st is just grass and acts as a fertilizer.

Never seen the attraction of being carried around by a panic attack waiting to happen. But the law allows it, 'leavings' and all, so until someone realises that the stupid creatures are only good for glue and bomb making then it's something you'll have to put up with.

Dog st is themost vile substance in the world.

Horse st isn't by any stretch of the imagination. Infact, if you grew up in the country, Horse st is quite a nice smell.

Dog owners that leave dog st around should be shot, not fined.

I have no issue with horse st.

Fox st. That's the nasty stuff.

Most of the house currently stinks of it as yesterday the dog decided to roll in a load on walkies. redface

I feel your rage OP. Horses on bridle ways. Whatever next cars on roads? I mean have you seen them spewing oil and diesel all over the place. They should be made to stop and clean it up too.

Potholes + Horse st = Zig-zag course.

I fking hate horses. Big stupid dangerous things that may well panic for no reason at all at any point.
So horse crap is OK but dog crap is vile? Do you want horse crap in your house or car?
How about eating the stuff if you go through it on a mountain bike or crashing the motorbike because you hit it on the road.

st is st, they need to clean up after themselves.

I do clean up after the dog and it disgusts mhen people don't, but horses produce about 900 times as much of the stuff. Glue and steaks are the way forward.
