We had 10 days at Lincoln Farm Park near Witney at Easter, very nice if a little regimented.

August we're off to Appuldurcombe on the Isle of Wight for 12 nights, massively looking forward to that.

We'll probably have a weekend at Sacrewell Farm near Peterborough in the next few weeks, and a weekend somewhere in late September.

Hi crikey,

When are you coming to the IOW exactly? And what are you coming in?

Beginning of August (2nd - 6th) there is a big VW campervan festival, which hopefully i'll be going to. Its a good month to visit with Cowes week and a good few nights with a massive scooter rally at the end of August.....

Aunt and Uncle often stay in appuldercombe site and love it there.....

Not got many plans myself, but this year just bought the campervan and stayed on the island down in Brighston. Might plan a visit to New Forest. Bigger plans for next year after i get comfortable with the reliabiliy of our 30 year old T25 van. Might venture into France because we always did camping trips in the Loire, Vendee, Ile de Re, Koln, Paris, interlaken, amsterdam to name a few.

5th to 17th so we'll catch a bit of Cowes week I think, and we're coming in our much loved trailer tent smile

The New Forest is fantastic, we had a couple of weeks there last Easter and loved every minute. We stayed at Redshoot which I'd recommend.

just got back from the south of france... left lymington at 6pm on a thursday evening, made it to the channel tunnel for 8:30pm and then drove non-stop (other than one fuel stop) to monaco, arriving for late breakfast. then on to golf juan for lunch and eventually stopping near the spanish border by mid-afternoon. 1250 miles in one hit.

spent a week or so sat on the beach and then drove home via the milau bridge and a stop for early dinner in the centre of paris.

Went to the Ile de Re and southern Brittany in a borrowed motorhome in May. Got a weekend in a tent with the lads at Thruxton in a few weeks. Let's hope summer arrives...

Wow! 10 out of 10 for effort mojito!

We're camping in Cambridge next weekend in our VW then I have 1 weekend to sort any niggles before we head to France (see my other thread on here, advice welcomed).

Good luck with the new motorhome. Should be much better equipped than your taxi.

Just returned from 10 days under canvas in South-West Cornwall. The penultimate night was a Red Alert Weather Warning which turned out to be an emotional experience!. Was relieved in the morning to wake up in the same part of the campsite that I went to sleep!. Having said that Cornwall is great in any weather, but I love it in the spring/summer months before the hordes decend when the schools break up

Still in Bridport in a caravan borrowed from my parents, thankfully on high ground above Eype so have avoided most of th3 flooding! Weather is bad at the minute, feels like the awning will rip off and the caravan will topple eek

Uh-oh, I hope you two above (happy and Stu) aren't setting the trend for this thread. wink

We're off to Cambridge for the weekend in ours to test it out and it's forecast rain for most of it. I've then got one weekend free to sort any niggles (or to send the divers down for it, depending on the weather hehe ), before we head to France.

I'm guessing putting away a wet, muddy awning and groundsheet in the rain isn't fun but, feel free to enlighten me. smile

Here goes.

Where's this bbq summer? Unless i had a jetpack to fly alongside a waterproof bbq I doubt I'd be able to cook laugh
