Hi guys/ and girls of course!

I am trying to source more info on a car:

BMW M135i is apparently out or about to be.. I am after a 5 door car with xdrive (4x4)
can anyone give me more info? How to get prices and order/ register on waiting list etc?

http://www.autoblog.com/2012/03/07/bmw-m135i-conce...

I went into Stratstone today and they had no idea what I was on about.

You want a 4WD car though? So "bad" news.

Hi Teknoplug,

Ideally yes would like 4WD for twisty snowy lanes.. So I may be disappointed if no x drive in UK..cannot really think what else to get. Not a mini countryman.

I have a Land Rover for really bad weather but need a run about that can cope when it snows for the trouble and strife.

Shoot.

May have to think hard and fast as to whether a 2wd will cope.. It looks a cracking car and I have never bought a BMW before so was looking forward to the experience.

Yep, £29,995 list. Very very good value.

Few brilliant write ups in the usual mags and online @ EVO/Autocar etc.

Sounds like a belting steer - rear drive, amazing engine, epic sound (check the crackle and pop exhaust sound on youtube) and as quick as a 1M for under £30k.

Only the look of the front end puts me off, subjective though.

£29995 for 3 door, £30,575 for 5 door, only RWD in the UK i'm afraid.

Cars arriving over next few weeks for first customer sold orders ( bit of a delay due to alloy wheel change )

Customer orders ordered in past 4 weeks arriving mid October.

It's going to be an awesome car !

Hi Greg,
Thanks for that. Do you work for BMW? I note you are an M Power manager.

Any reason why when I went into my BMW garage they could not order me a car?
To be honest they were clueless... with a capital C.

Update!
Went to Coopers in York, very helpful.

Cars available for delivery mid November.
Looking at a white car..comments?
Best option to purchase..comments?

The only addition I would spec is rear parking sensor (for the wife not me!) and sunroof.

Also saw that its only a group 22 to insure which is the icing on the cake, well done BMW.

;-)

Whether its in the right or wrong section lets not be too worried.

For others who may be interested it really is good value as a poster mentioned. VERY good value.

Just sourced a car now with various options from BMW dealer. Book price is £32,085. Dealer has come back all in for £28,000. Delivery First week in November. White, red leather, sunroof, tints and Alpina stripe. 5 year servcice.

I have two other dealers sharpening their pencils now.

So are you just phoning various dealers asking if there are any cancellations? For £28000 thats really a good deal if the options are right. Is it for a 3 or 5 door?

Each to one's own and all that, but why would you want to put Alpina stripes onto a car that isn't actually an Alpina?

Hi Panthro,
Thats not a cancellation and is for a new spec car.

As for the Alpina stripes..Mmm I saw the press car and thought it looked great so as they peel on and off not too much of a risk..
