Went out on friday for a 'couple' of beers, and arrived home to find a commotion outside the apartments- a taxi had hit a car, pushed it into the one parked next to it, then driven off.
Alas, it was my car.
The police arrived- as the 15 year old passenger in the cab had gone mental at the driver and called them- the driver denied everything as there 'was no way he hit a car'.

The front end was hanging off the cab, the rear of the other car is smashed to bits, my damage is limited to a dent in the rear door and paint off the rear bumper, although strangely, the air con has stopped working?!
Mr Policeman was polite, efficient, and an all round good guy- instantly issued my green slip, and took the driver away in the car as the passenger had thought he was drunk- not good news for him then.

So, I have my green slip...............whats next?

Call your insurance company, they'll tell you what to do.

Was he drunk?

I have no idea what you are talking about?

By quirk of fate, yes.

The family is over in three weeks, so it needs to be done by then.
Were you- by any chance- a little tipsy when you lost your phone?

Last time I got one of those slips Stu I just called my insurance company, they told me which bodyshop to take the car to, off I toddled, job (reasonably) well done.

If they let you choose your own, then I would recommend SARA Autocare next to Mark / Claire's place... they've done a few jobs for me now and they've all been top work.

Evidently, given the topic in hand, they don't look out of their fking windscreens either.

Oh, and yes, they took him away in the car, as they believe he had been drinking.
