Hi
Wifes 306HDI has devloped a water leak at roof level, it shows itself along the top of the interior trim panel on the C pillar. Drivers side next to the head of a rear seat passenger.
First thought was door seal but nothing is split. Second thought was a drain of some sort from the sun roof has split or rotted or the sun roof itself was leaking.
Anyone had one apart before? How does the head lining come out?
The outer seal on the sun roof is in one piece but a bit green and "mouldy". If I press on the back edge of the sun roof it will push in so I wonder if there's a seal underneath thats failing?
We have had this car for 9 years, its been pretty reliable but any problem it's had has been a bit odd.

I haven't done one but the drains probably run down inside the screen pillar trims and into the sills.

Yes,a drain tube runs down each screen pillar.Open the roof and you will see holes in each front corner.Could be blocked? so a blast with an air line should do the trick. Also has it got a roof aerial?? if so they leak into the car but usually it drips around the interior light.Hook out the light, one nut for the aerial, refit with mastic or RTV.

Ours has a slight leak here and doesn't have a sunroof. I think it's becuase I replaced the door and it isn't lined up exactly right so I would examine the panel gaps and see if it's dropped slightly. Easy to tighten up if so.

Yes Mr Merc, it is a (aparently quite rare) FF elec sunroof in an air con car.
Had a look tonight and the drain holes are plain to see when you know where to look.
Seem clear from the top but haven't been able to get to an air line yet/

Haven't noticed that the door has dropped SIAC but will look at that in day light. Certainly shuts ok.
