British Reg Jaguar in Ottawa

Yesterday evening on my way home, I spotted a fantastic looking purple XK8 with British plates (and GB sticker) on the 417 heading into Ottawa. It made my day.

Does it belong to anybody on PH? I didn't see a PH smiley, but you never know!

I had to give it a huge thumbs up as I drove past... I wanted to say hi to a fellow expat, but traffic dictated otherwise.

Also, does anyone happen to know the laws regarding driving on British plates in Canada? I thought local plates were required for imports, but I'm willing to be wrong...

I was in Niagara on the Lake last week and saw a similar looking car... It looked "odd" being RHD and with the "wrong" type of rear plate and "GB" sticker on it!

Yes, it had quite a presence. I saw it coming up behind me from a distance and I thought "Is that a Jag? That looks like an XK8... I didn't know they sold them over here." Then I spotted the plates as it overtook.

My also-expat friend managed to get a couple of cheeky photos.

Temporary import probably, but yes things like this make my day.
