Selection of gears that is, once all warmed up much better although has never been silky smooth.
Gear selector is a bit of a push to engage gear when cold.
Warmer seems better, fluid full.

Is this the start of a marvellous gearbox out adventure ??

Mine is the same, I'm convinced its got worse in the last 6 month or so, it's only in 1st I find it happens, but like you say once warm it's better.

Similar ..but then I also felt the same in my previous boxster s - I just assumed it was how chunky gear boxes were?

Can also be symptomatic of the clutch slave cylinder seals starting to fail due to slight clutch drag. As things warm up the piston expands in the cylinder tightening up the seals so the clutch can fully disengage again. You'll be alright for a while yet but it'll get steadily worse until it's time to change it. smile

'Fraid so guys frown Mine started the same last October and got steadily worse, until July when I ended up getting the slave and clutch replaced and it turns out that the gears are actually all quite accessible and will slot in very quietly and nicely when its all running properly.

I have removed the two washers from the stop under the pedal. The bolt still has the nut and the rubber stop, and all seems easier to change. Jacked up car and no drag, so I will give it a go for a week or so and lets see what happens.
In effect I have increased the throw by about 3mm.
