Interested to see what everyone else gets from a full tank in their RX-8's im getting anything between 180-250 miles depending on how spirited my driving is, how much do you guys get through?

It made me chuckle when I was talking to someone with a bluemotion golf about fuel consumption 650+ miles to one tank, made me realise how thirsty the Mazda is!

Sounds about right. I average about 220 to the tank. Best I ever managed was 280 miles in my old 231. I've managed to drain a tank in 175miles as well.

Thirsty but heaps of fun.

That seems low. How big is the fuel tank in the 8?
I've only ever managed to get as low as 250 miles on a tank once in the RX7, and that involved *A LOT* of spirited driving. I'm normally closer to 350 miles.

76L fuel tank.

180-230 generally... find I get slightly better using premium/optimax if i'm feeling particularly spirited...

They do run a lot better on super, unfortunately the increased range doesn't match the increased price! frown

High octane petrol shouldn't make much if any difference, the engine is naturally aspirated, has a relatively low static compression ratio and less scope than a piston engine to vary the ignition timing. I used to run mine on 95RON, but have always been happy to put super into cars which benefit from it (including all three we have now).
