Need to get my LP560 MOT'd,and can't be bothered to take it to Lamborghini London.

Anyone know anywhere local (St Albans, Welwyn, etc) that has experience with this sort of car, or does it not really matter. Guess an MOT is a an MOT?

Thanks.

an mot is an mot.....they look over the car, thats it, no supercar experience needed...though i had to help my tester find the reverse button! i got mine done at huntingdon performance tyres, bit north for you, but they were good, and charged only 30...

only issue is a break test.... if the car is 4wd, then the tester has to do a road test and emergency stop.... not that if you went to say grange aston martin they wouldn't let their junior guy do the MOT anyway..... my tester was in his fifties and not that excited by the prospect of driving off with my car... so i was happy, and i booked knowing this...

I thoroughly recommend C.A.M. in Potters Bar as they have done my cars for years and are the type of garage where if they don't find anything wrong they don't charge you anything, not even an inspection cost. They do lots of nice cars (have done my old MR2 Turbo and one of my Evos - though, granted, neither of these are a Lambo ...) and will not take the p*** / take the car out for a jolly.

If you do call them (01707 642816) tell them that 'Darren with the Evos' recommended them to you - it can't hurt.

Otherwise, if you're worried about costs, use a Council Test Centre as they only do MoTs and not repairs so they won't fail your car just to make some additional labour / part mark-up costs (not that C.A.M. would do that either ...)

I use John gordon motors in st albans, my mx5 is no supercar, but they have been accomodating in the past with me supplying oil and parts when having my car serviced, no complaints about their MOTs either.

It's on London road, next to a tyre place.

i believe that you can drive your own car for the brake test anyway : the tester can do his decelerometer test as a passenger

Royton Express in between codicote and welwyn village.

No mechanics , just vehicle testers. Just turn up and wait

No agendas, just a fair test.

Ed, I've used Top Marques in Hitchin quite a few times for tyres.

I know it's a different kettle of fish but they are great and I take all the family cars there.

Dave Thomas garage in Codicote. Dave used to race Alfas. Take my Fulvia Fanalone there but have seen classic Ferraris, Alfas and Jags. Always feel happy leaving the car with them.

Why not call Ferrari in St Albans and ask them who does their MOT's , or call Porsche in Hatfield and ask them?

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Going to take it to SCC in St Albans as it's closest to my office.
