Anyone heard of these guys? Rang me up recently advertising their services etc. Basically they source and handle the whole process of investing in property, from all over it seems. Just read their brochure and it sounds pretty interesting, though I'm always skeptical of cold callers. Anyone had any dealings or experiences with them?

How much do they charge and what do they do over and above you ringing up an estate agent saying you want a 2 bed apartment for xxxxxxx that will rent out for between xxxx and xxxx?

Apparently they negotiate discounts and ensure that full due diligence is done on the property. They sound a bit like Inside Track...before they went bankrupt.

I would urge due diligence and some caution. The returns could be good but only if they actually materialise. All that glitters...... The risk is the undefined question. Try to define that before investing. Are they covered by the FCA?

I can't comment on this company, but somebody saying "we'll do all the due diligence on your behalf", would ring massive alarm bells for me.

Get advice, get independent recommendations and, whatever they say, get a proper lawyer who specialises in the region or country you are buying in.

What he said.

Never heard of the company. Property investment through a third party is pretty risky. Will trhe do due dilligence to investment grade standards? What sort of yield are they talking?

I source properties and have done for yrs. A few guys off here have successfully used my services. I would always advise that you do your own research to fully satisfy yourself before handing any money over. Some firms charge £1.000's as reservation fees, non refundable ones too. So when a deal goes belly up, your stuck, at best they'll offer you an alternative one but you might not want it, and they are within their T&Cs to keep your res fee. I found this out the hard way yrs ago with a firm that collected over £500k in res fees then disappeared!

Seamy, drop me an email if you want any questions answering. Even if you don't use me and want to do it yourself I'm happy to advise you and point you in the right direction. Anything to help a fellow PH'er. ;-)

50p says 'Fell for it, lost money, googled, found this, registered, posted!'

The Natural Law of Stuff says that companies with good investments don't have to cold call for punters.
