This is the strangest add for an S that I have seen. Changed hands quite recently apparently. Low start price. One we know??

This was on e-bay at the start of august, the auction ended early. I also see that the S1 that was on for £4000 as a classified ad is now for auction with a £2k start and no reserve. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TVR-280S1-/162217188592

Appears now to be 3 available! Thought 2 (both grey) were the same car but they are not, one in Daventry, one in Kent.

Yes Glen, my S1 also has that sophisticated glove box handle wink, but mine doesnt even have the embossed TVR logo...cry

Now up to £3150 and still not reached reserve. So not going cheap.

Looks like someone's changed the outriggers without lifting the body there. The triangular gusset plate has probably been cut and reshaped to allow room to run the welder round.

Could be wrong, but I reckon that's the case, so any 'rusty chassis' advisories will probably relate to the main chassis itself. Tread carefully, but then at less than £4k you have to assume it needs chassis work anyway.
