Search isn't working at mo...

I'm sure I've read before on here that 997 Xenon headlamps can be adjusted (via a switch?) for use in France etc.

Can anyone explain how/where this is?

Cheers.

I have never done it on a 997 but if it helps on a 996 its a 6mm plastic bolt on the back of the light unit, from memory you turn it from position T to position L or simmilar?its a 5 minite job and all the tools are in the toolkit and the instructions are in the handbook , its the last but one chapter in the GT3 book.im sure it will be a simmilar procedure on a 997 good luck.

I'm pretty sure its a dealer job to switch over to European.

Took my 997 to Europe many times and never made any adjustment and I vaguely remember it being down to it requiring a trip to the dealer - if its a simple switch then pretty sure I would've done it. Don't have the manual anymore.

If not the case then apologies to all the Europeans I unnecessarily blinded on my travels...

I'll help you.

Go into boot compartment and unscrew plastic nut (near boot light / or opposite side one) and pull carpet away from inside of boot to expose a couple of holes with rubber flaps, and a bigger hole with a rubber bung in.
Remove bung, insert the socket wrench from toolkit(small hex) into the hole and rotate through 180 degrees. On the nearside headlight you basically rotate from 9o'clock through to 3o'clock.
Headlight is unlocked and you can slide out to the front.

Unscrew the 4 screws and press the 3 release tabs to expose the inside of the headlamp.

You will see the small tab clearly which is set to T for overseas and O for home.

Reverse process and make sure you rotate wrench back through to 9o'clock position - it makes quite a positive clunk!
Cheers!
