Hi all, work has started! It began with the engine oil light that stayed on when starting up for the first time after being in the garage for the winter,
So its a full fat milk upgrade on everything! starting with a body off
Engine out and a good chance to try out the new engine to see where to cut

Supercharged Ford by the looks of it. Please keep the pics coming. This could be very interesting.

Its a Modular Mustang SVT Cobra engine, Dimension wise its not far from the TVR unit in height and length,
even width of the engine block except for the heads as you can see

Chassis removed from the body with not to much difficulty except that you always forget to
undo that one bolt! But this bolt was in the shape of the fuel hoseeek Its amazing how far you
can stretch with one finger in a gushing fuel pipe and the other fiddling for something to stick in itbiglaugh

Thanks for the replys Guys.
I flew over from Ireland to buy that car but it had a badly stone chipped bonnet and i couldn't wait for it to be resprayed so i bought a blue Chimaera 450 which i later traded in for a silver 500 Chimaera 1998,previous owner lived by the coast.
its interesting to see the difference in condition,my silver 500 has just had a body off refurb. with new outriggers and the cam has gone at 42,000 miles.
The orange 500 has 83,000 miles on it if i can see correctly and no new outriggers by the looks of it.what is the engine like now ?
Fell in love with the orange dials and stainless steel dash so quess what is going into my silver 500 as we speak......

Hi Mark, yes I bought it instead of you, then put 30,000 miles on it in 4 years, so it hasn't done much in the last few years. Yes I replaced the cam in the first year, but never touched the chassis, so not too bad, considering. Hope the OP makes a really nice, fast car out of this... so pleased to see the car taking a step forward! Maybe orange is the new black...

Cheers, Dean
