Ford ETIS no longer shows build info
Discussion
You used to be able to go to http://www.etis.ford.com whang in your registration and it would give you the full build spec.
Seems now it doesn't.
I wish I'd saved a copy now.

You now need to register, then once you log in you should be able to get all the info.
To register you need to be a dealer or independent operator (and pay) according to the info. 2.1 You warrant that you satisfy the following conditions:
(a) You are an independent automotive-related service or repair business;
(b) You have given your authority to the individual registering you on the Website to enter into this Agreement on your behalf;
(c) You will fully and accurately complete the online registration form and forward it to Ford.
(d) You will pay the Pre-Payment charge (see below 2.4).

About £150 from memory. Try Timpsons though, I’ve sent customers there and they’ve been really cheap
Don't Timpsons just _duplicate_ (clone) a key though? That means if you ever lose (or have stolen) a key you can't just remove that one key, you'd have to remove all the keys (and then buy new ones) unless you knew exactly _which_ had been cloned (and then you'd still need a replacement both for that one *and* the lost one).

I think we'll go for an automatic transmission in the end.
Everyone is well aware of issues with 6DCT450 / MPS6 by now - but I bumped into info that they occured up to 2016 year builds.
I'm wondering which Powershift gearbox is fitted to 2.0 diesel engines since 2017 - is it the same one (but "fixed") or something entirely different?
Can't speak for the C-Max as I'd rather chew my own arm off than have one but if wikipedia is to be believed they're all Powersts on them. Everyone is well aware of issues with 6DCT450 / MPS6 by now - but I bumped into info that they occured up to 2016 year builds.

Presumably as it's based off the Focus it's the 6DCT250/DSP6 for the lower power models and the 6DCT450/MPS6 for the 2l+.

Hi all - after a little help if possible. Any chance of the build data for my Galaxy AE16SOJ? Have been told by my independent mechanic that I should consider changing the auto gearbox oil and filter - 1 Ford dealer quoted 380 and another said the box is sealed for life and doesnt therefore need any maintenance.
So I'm left wondering what gearbox it actually has so I can then determine what I should do about it (if anything!).
Not just consider! So I'm left wondering what gearbox it actually has so I can then determine what I should do about it (if anything!).
900000% positive, you absolutely must do it. The Powerst needs an oil change every (iirc) 35k (and even then it may go bang, it is a powerst after all).
