I think many of us in the UK would like to see Aston Martin start winning races and their road cars to be seen as market leaders but I think their best chance is in F1.
The engine is a good starting point, the car looks tidy and neat and Alonso will initially have the fire in his belly to achieve.
Let’s see what happens. Possibly Lando should be in the second car ?

I can imagine Stroll Snr is a nightmare to work for and probably overrules everyone he disagrees with in both the racing and road car departments.

They say that every picture tells a story and those photos above show an extreme bully full of his own importance who is in charge of a non delivering outfit.

I started this post so am very pleased to see Ferdinand get such a result. Very pleased and for the time being this justified his team change. Lance’s sixth place says that the team is going in the right direction but hitting Alonso was crass driving that Daddy mustn’t tolerate.

I see that Alonso’s race result has boosted Aston’s share price. Maybe the hoped for intention when he was recruited. If he has a good season it could do lots for the company.

When I was with a Central London Jaguar dealership in the 80s Mondays were always busier after an international sports car win for Jaguar on the Sunday.
There is some truth in the saying

A grid position of 2nd and 5th for Aston Martin for the Saudi GP are good positions so fingers crossed for a good race result.
